Cozy up for year-round fun and comfort at this Truckee retreat! Centrally located within minutes of the Tahoe Donner Downhill Resort, the Cross-Country Ski Center, and the Trout Creek Recreation Center, you'll have endless outdoor recreation to discover practically in your own backyard.



The perfect base camp for any adventure, the home comes well-appointed for family-friendly comfort. After a long day of activities, throw some logs on the wood stove and unwind in the living room. A smart TV and an assortment of board games are provided for home entertainment. The full kitchen makes it easy to plan home-cooked meals with ease, and a dishwasher is included for stress-free cleanup. Free WiFi and a private washer/dryer are also equipped for added convenience. Propane heating provides cold-weather comfort.

The place was mostly good. However we booked the place based on the amenities and it turns out most of the amenities including the hot tub and pool are not accessible during certain dates. This was not expressively conveyed in the property description and it seems that was done to confuse people who were unaware of the meaning of the local “STR” rules. Local rules reserve amenities for local residents which is fair and acceptable but this was not explained by the property in detail. This left us with a feeling this was done to trick people to book this property during holiday/blackout weekends without understanding that we would not be able to access the amenities as described by the property. We will not be booking with this management group again as they could not offer us any compensation or explanation of why they listed the property this way. I also would like to warn anyone booking with this group in this area that the “STR” rules restricts your amenity access and the property will not clarify this prior to arriving.
