We loved our stay at Blue Moose! The home was very spacious, perfect for three families with kids. The kitchen had everything we needed, BBQ works great, the hot tub was nice and clean, and the back of the property opens up into the forest where the kids had a blast exploring and sledding in the snow!
We loved the beautiful house and itâs location backing up to the Tahoe national forest. The only drawback was the 90/night pet fee that was not mentioned in the original listing. Despite this, we hope to come stay at this house again in the summer.
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Tahoe Donner cabin! First off, itâs a beautiful, spacious and well designed space. We appreciated how well organized and stocked the cabin was. Everything we needed was available to us! Everything was labeled down to every light switch, which was super helpful. Also, instructions for everything were very detailed. We will definitely be coming back to stay at your beautiful cabin! Thank you Ken and Rebecca!
This cabin was a pleasure to stay in. The owners did a great job of making your stay an easy one. We were so impressed with the fully stocked kitchen, the amount of towels provided and even lotion in every single room! The cabin was clean and comfortable, a great place for a relaxing getaway! We will be back!
We had a wonderful vacation in the Bluemoose cabin. It has a great open layout, wonderful views of the forest/trees and a relaxing spa. One of the best VRBOs Iâve stayed at.
Place was beautiful, instructions were clear for check in and check out. Overall a pretty good deal for the price. The hosts were very responsive!
It was perfect for a longer trip since we were working from home, and there was plenty of table space for everyone to work comfortably.
There were only two minor annoyances:
1. We couldn't find the remote for one of the upstairs fans, and we were there during the summer so the place got a little hot. The host did try to help but a missing remote is difficult to troubleshoot over the phone
2. We did have to do a good amount of cleaning at check out which took us about 2 hours to complete (all dishes had to be washed, bed stripped and laundry started, vacuumed, all trash taken out, etc.), so the cleaning & service fee felt high.
The owners Ken & Rebecca are delightful to rent from. Ken always responded promptly and was also very thoughtful with suggestions. The property is beautiful and perfect for our families with teens. The media room was such a bonus! The pictures in this listing accurately showcase this beautiful home but we were also pleasantly surprised at all of the nice kitchen amenities available for our use. It is such a joy to cook with quality pots & pans, knives especially when you are not in your own home. Most cabins, put their hand me down pots and pans without any pantry items to use. They lock everything up and you have to go and buy/bring everything. Unlike this home where it had every utensil you could need, drawers stocked with Ziplocs, tupperware, serving dishes, and plenty of plates, glasses for our family. The kitchen had an Instant Pot, Blender, Cuisanart knives, Viking range just to name a few, and came well stocked with a full spice cabinet and coffee cupboard. This made eating together on their large dining room table very enjoyable. The attention to detail in every room was really nice with matching furniture and comfortable beds with quality bedding. The bathrooms were nicely stocked with quality soap and lotion, shampoo, body soap and other bathroom necessities in case you forgot anything. There is a large hot tub on the deck surrounded by tall trees which made relaxing very easy. The Media room had leather loungers and a wet bar, stocked with a mini fridge and microwave for popcorn or for the warm face towels that were available to use.
The location was perfect with several walking trails from this property. This is a large three split level home that is perfect for families with teens, plenty of space to hang out together and enjoy spreading out when you wanted to. If you have anyone that can not do stairs this would be something to be aware of. I could go on and on about all the ways the owners made renting this place so delightful, but you will have to just rent this yourself to experience the relaxation this house gave to our family. We can't wait to return to this property in the near future! Thank you Ken & Rebecca!
Ken and Rebeccaâs home is both luxurious and incredibly well-equipped. The beds are large and extremely comfortable. The living space is comfortable, with a great open plan design. And the kitchen/grill are top of the line and make cooking a real joy. The house is right up against the national forest and that means there is access to amazing hikes right from the back door.
We could not give a stronger recommendation for this property. We loved our stay.
