I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this rental. When my family and I arrived the day before Thanksgiving—my husband, our three children, and our dog—we were shocked to find the property in completely unacceptable condition, and truthfully it is a health and sanitation issue. It was immediately clear that we could not stay there.Upon entering, we discovered roaches, visible in multiple areas (the freezer/microwave and even one so bold it crawled on the countertop next to me). The home itself was in unclean and unsanitary condition, with dust everywhere, other various dead bugs, dirty washcloths left in the bathroom, and duct tape around the window seals, which made the entire place feel unsafe and poorly maintained. The level of disarray was far below any basic standard of cleanliness or care. I could not comfortably sleep or cook Thanksgiving side dishes here!!! We had no choice but to leave immediately and secure alternative lodging during one of the busiest travel weeks of the year—an incredibly stressful situation for a family of five traveling with a pet!!!AND despite promptly reporting the issues, I still have not received a refund, which only adds to the frustration of this entire experience.I strongly urge future guests to be cautious. This property was nowhere near the standard advertised, and I hope the owner and Vrbo take the necessary steps to address these serious concerns so no one else has to go through this.
