This hotel was nice to stay in. It's a little older but it was right across the freeway from the convention center which was in walking distance and they also had a trolley that would take you there.

Avoid this place. When we first pulled up, it looked like a construction site, to the point that I asked the front desk what was going on. I was told that they just had some type of event and all the stuff that was laying around the front was them taking everything down. Fair enough. We go to park, and it got worse. Parking did not look safe, there were "workers" taking mattresses and furniture out of trucks and just throwing them into rooms, dirty. There was debris, furniture, and all kinds of other stuff just strewn around the entire property. Walking thru the hall to get to our room was scary as they were dark, even though it was 3 in the afternoon. Furniture, bedding and microwave, all dirty. If I didn't know any better, I would think they were readying the place to be demolished. Finding a decent place in Tucson is hard enough, this place should be shut down. The only upside was the staff was friendly, but she knew why I checked right out 10 minutes after we got there, she didn't even bat an eyelash. I've stayed at some pretty bad places before but this one was the worst.

The hotel is in the middle of renovation I think. So there is construction everywhere. The facilities are quite old. People are nice.

There were homeless people roaming around the outskirts of the property. Breakfast staff were less than approachable. Very subpar for a Wyndham.

This was a comfortable place to stay, but a bit run down. I did pay more for a room with a "courtyard view" but the view (and accompanying noise) belonged to the construction of tents (being prepared for an upcoming gem show) that covered the property -- no courtyard to view! Surprisingly convenient location, near the trolley, walk to downtown and the the Annex.

Pros and Cons

The bathroom was really run down and kind of grossed me out. The refrigerator only had one very cold setting and ruined about $15 of my food. On the brighter side, the bed was very comfortable and all of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, including the front desk, cleaning staff and maintenance. It’s also located very close to downtown and plenty of hiking options.
