This is a family run hostel which is in a central location in Uyuni. It's a good value for the money spent. They have 24 hours reception so if you arrive late, there will be someone opening the gates for you (but you need to buzz as they do lock the gates after 11pm or so). They have 1 male shower & toilet and 1 female shower & toilet to share on each floor, but you can use the shower on other floors in case the one on your floor is occupied. The owner was very friendly and helpful. They don't allow you to do laundry in the showers or toilets but they have a laundry place on the ground floor. As a hostel, towels are provided which is a plus. The room is basic but you have a desk and 1-2 beds depending on your room type (I had a private twin room). The beds are not bad and I'd say it's warm enough even on a cooler night. I was out for tours during my stay so I am unsure about the restaurants nearby but this place is very close to where those tourist service operators are, just behind the hostel. This hostel is approx. 10 mins from the Uyuni Airport by taxi. (Note: No elevators in this hostel, so hopefully you only have a day pack during your stay or perhaps a backpack instead of a suitcase.)
