We were pleased with our stay at Husa Dimar in Valencia. The things we didn't like were not so troubling as to cause us to discourage anyone from staying there; The printed material in the room seemed to suggest that the breakfast buffet fabulous) was included as part of the (very low) room price; it wasn't. Our bill included a small charge for each breakfast for two -- just a little surprise. The buffet was well worth the price.
They advertise air conditioning, but really mean centralized dehumidification. After 36 hours of using the in-room thermostat to try to cool the room, we asked the front desk for assistance, the woman replied: Oh, we don't have cooling. Luckily, it wasn't hot outside (October, after all) and our room was generally comfortable. We loved that we could open a window at night for comfortable sleeping, though street noises might bother some. The hotel is in what we think was a perfect location for seeing Valencia. Twenty minutes walk through a beautiful park to the City of Arts and Sciences; and less than that to the heart of Old Valencia. Many terrific and affordable restaurants within two blocks.
