Villa Manda is a beautiful, bright villa for up to six guests, situated between two pristine beaches on the stunning island of Antigua in the heart of the Caribbean. The villa features three bedrooms, unforgettable ocean views and a large terrace with an infinity-edged swimming pool. Part of a boutique collection of contemporary villas and suites, guests at Villa Manda will have access to the Tamarind Hills Resort’s exclusive facilities, including an excellent restaurant and a saltwater swimming pool.

The villa’s sun-soaked outdoor terrace wraps around the ground floor, providing guests with views that stretch across the turquoise Caribbean Sea. This is the perfect place to begin each new day, with a relaxing dip in the villa’s swimming pool. There is a refreshing outdoor shower available for any moment you may wish to cool off from the heat of the sun. The terrace space also features sun loungers for guests to enjoy, as well as an informal outdoor dining area with a barbecue grill.

From the terrace, guests enter Villa Manda’s charming ground-floor living space through wide patio doors. This open-plan space features a comfortable lounge area, a dining table, and a well-equipped kitchen. The whole family can spend the evening relaxing in the lounge, with a large corner sofa and a flatscreen smart TV creating the ideal spot for a movie night. The kitchen provides you with everything you need to prepare memorable meals at home with some of the fantastic local produce you have discovered.

Upstairs, the villa’s effortless, understated décor continues, with two bedrooms located on the first floor. One bedroom features a king-size bed with a private oceanfront balcony, providing guests with a dreamlike vista to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. There is a pair of simple twin beds in the other charming bedroom located on the first floor. Both bedrooms include en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers.

Villa Manda’s master bedroom occupies the whole of the second floor. This gorgeous room will instill a sense of peace and tranquility with its high lofted ceilings, exposed wooden beams and a feature roof light, allowing plenty of natural light to flow into the space. There is another oceanfront balcony available here, with truly breathtaking views. The master bedroom features a king-size bed and an indulgent bathtub, where you can completely unwind after a day spent swimming in the sea or exploring the wonders of Antigua. An en-suite bathroom is also available on the second floor.

Air conditioning is featured throughout the villa, with ceiling fans also included in the living space and each of the bedrooms, ensuring that your nights are cool and restful. Each day you will be tempted to stay close to home, on the silky white sands of Ffryes Beach and Darkwood Beach. Secluded by hilltops and popular with tourists and locals alike, both beaches are well-known beauty spots. Swim and snorkel in the crystalline waters here, before stopping for lunch at a local restaurant.

Slightly further afield, Nelson’s Dockyard National Park is one of five national parks in Antigua. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, this eighteenth-century British naval dockyard is an area of great historical significance on the island, as well as a popular venue for maritime events and activities. Nelson's Dockyard offers visitors plenty of fantastic trekking trails, with breathtaking sights along the way.

Consider visiting Shirley Heights, a restored military lookout with panoramic views and the home of a famous Sunday evening party, where visitors are invited to come and take part in the festivities. Listen to live Caribbean steel drum bands, try some of the local food and rum punch and discover amazing sunset views of the island.

Devil’s Bridge is another national park that is well worth a visit. The bridge itself is a natural arch composed of limestone rock, formed over the course of many thousands of years. With geysers and blowholes surrounding the bridge as the waves of the Atlantic crash against the rocks, this is a bracing adventure that will leave you in awe of the serene beaches you have just left behind.
