This ground-floor apartment, in a well-appointed, family-friendly residence, sleeps 5 people. It is the perfect holiday base, whether you want an active holiday or just to relax in the beautiful countryside.

The spacious sitting room has a sofa, armchairs and a Smart TV. French windows lead out to a private balcony with a table and chairs. Here, guests can enjoy the view out over the garden and mountains.

Location
The residence is in the centre of the village of Vallorcine, set in the spectacular mountain scenery. It is a very short walk to the ski lifts and the ski slopes. The slopes around Vallorcine are suitable for skiers of all levels. There is also 10km of cross-country skiing trails, which will suit beginners and experts alike.

All the facilities of the Chamonix region are on your doorstep, as Vallorcine railway station is just a 2-minute walk from the residence. The Swiss border is a four-minute drive from the residence, and a minute beyond that is the Parc Vallée du Trient, with its breathtaking views and treks. The famous Montreux Jazz Festival on the shores of Lake Geneva takes place in early July and is just 1 hour away.

During the summer season, the valley is full of fun activities: stunning mountain trails for hiking or mountain biking, climbing and horse riding. The area is famous for its flora and fauna, particularly the butterflies in the flower-filled alpine meadows. The village of Vallorcine has several restaurants and cafés which cater to various ages and budgets. For self-catering, there is a weekly market (every Sunday morning) in Argentière (10 minutes\' drive)

Geneva Airport is a 1-hour 30-minute drive away.

Gute Lage, aber Unterkunft in schlechtem ZustandDer Check-in und alle Abläufe sind vollständig digital, praktisch, aber eben auch sehr anonym. Zusätzlich wirkt der gesamte Betrieb stark reduziert und im “Sommermodus” (Juli 2025).Die Lage ist hervorragend – Seilbahn und Bahnhof direkt vor der Tür. Es lohnt sich, das Auto stehen zu lassen. Begrüßungswein und Nespresso-Maschine waren nette Details.Allerdings gibt es im Ort keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten - muss man wissen.Auf den ersten Blick – vor allem auf den Bildern – machte das Hotel einen vielversprechenden Eindruck. Leider konnte dieser in der Realität nicht gehalten werden. Das Gebäude ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Auch die Orientierung im verschachtelten Haus war schwierig; Mülltonnen blieben unauffindbar, ebenso die Wäscherei. Sauberkeit und Zustand unseres Apartments Balme 02 in Vallorcine (Objekt: 6636) ließen sehr zu wünschen übrig: schmutzige Heizkörper überall, teilweise kaputte, dreckige und stark abgenutzte Küchenausstattung, Schimmel im Bad (insbesondere Duschwand), durchgelegene Matratzen. Der Balkon war ungepflegt mit kaputten und verrostetem Mobiliar (Tisch/1 Stuhl). Das separate WC war bei Ankunft nicht gereinigt (!), die Lüftung defekt. Leider konnte hier auf Anfrage auch keine Abhilfe schaffen werden. Vor allem aber kaum WLAN vorhanden!Das Schwimmbad – ein Buchungskriterium – war nicht beheizt und nur über eine Außenterrasse erreichbar. Ungünstig bei Kälte und Regen. Vor allem bei dem Preis ins
