Awful house awful owner - do not book
We wasted so much time during our holiday dealing with everything that happened. It was such an awful experience. The owner was not a good person.
We never met the owner she refused to attend the property, only WhatsApp messaging. We dealt with her father onsite and there were language barriers. From the get go the heating did not work. The WiFi did not work. We wasted so much time trying to get it all fixed. Then the power cut out for over 14 hours. No heat, no WiFi, no lights or any other amenities. This was finally fixed and then the WiFi, went off again.
However, main issue was the damp and mould. Mouldy smell everywhere. It was so bad that we were unable to put our clothes away in the wardrobes as the mould was so bad. We had to hang out clothes on racks and hanger in the sitting room. We had to wash all the walls, kitchen utensils, pots and pans as everything smelt so badly of mould. We had to wash all the towels and sheets as they smelt of mould. We had to buy new pillows and duvets as two of the pillows in the main room were literally wet with damp.
The first weekend a huge concert stage set up literally 50 feet from the house on communal village ground. Annual three day festival music from 2pm until 2am every day for three days straight. She did not tell us about this annual village festival. We did not sleep for 3 days. She then turned off the heating and refused to put it back on again accusing us of using too much. VrBo did not help us.
