Welcome to the “Whaler’s Cottage”! We recently renovated this 3 Bedroom, 1.5 Bath charmer.

It is the perfect spot to stay for a family with kids! A short walk to a family friendly beach. Relax on the back deck under the sun sail overlooking the backyard where the kids can play on the swing set.

Located on a quiet side street in a family neighborhood, Whaler's Cottage is on an oversized lot with mature trees and landscaping. The bay beach with some of the best sunsets in southern NJ is a 7 minute walk away!

The living room is bright and spacious. Relax on the oversized sofa with built-in USB chargers and motorized recliners while you watch your favorite show on the 55" Vizio Smart TV with Comcast/Xfinity cable. You can also sign into your favorite streaming services to binge watch on a rainy day. The bar cabinet has wine glasses, martini glasses, and accessories to mix your favorite drinks.

The kitchen was completely remodeled with luxury vinyl plank flooring, new cabinets, butcher block countertops, shiplap walls, and brand new appliances! It is fully stocked with plates, silverware, pots and pans, as well as cooking and baking accessories! We have a coffee maker, slow cooker, etc. - Just ask and we can provide a full list of everything in the house!

The dining room is large and bright with a table that seats 4 people.

Enjoy a quiet evening after a day on the beach relaxing on the back deck. Sit on the outdoor furniture while the propane fire pit takes the chill out of the night air. During the day, a 10'x14' Sun Sail helps keep the area cool. Sit and watch your kids play on the swing set. Grill some hot dogs and hamburgers on the propane grill. Feel free to use the 4 beach chairs and beach toys for your time at the beach!

The laundry room has a washer and dryer for your convenience. We provide an ironing board and iron in case you plan on dressing up for a nice dinner (we can make plenty of recommendations - just ask!).

The master bedroom has a king sized bed, 32" LG Smart TV with Comcast/Xfinity cable, and ceiling fan.

The second bedroom has a twin over double bunk bed and 24" Vizio Smart TV with Comcast/Xfinity cable. The room also has a swinging rope chair to read in or watch TV from.

The third bedroom has a queen sized bed, 32" LG Smart TV with Comcast/Xfinity cable, and ceiling fan.

The full bathroom has a shower/tub combination for your young kids to take a bath and wash away the sunscreen and sand! We provide hair dryers, Q-tips, cotton balls, toilet paper, paper towels and more. (Again, feel free to ask and we can send you a detailed item list.)

Amazing
My boyfriend and I stayed here in September for a weekend getaway and had the best time! The house was bigger than I expected and our decor style, very well done. And anything we needed, Nick was a quick response and so helpful and nice. We will definitely be coming back!! 10/10!!!!

My wife and I have stayed a previous time at this cottage and we will be coming back for the next few years to build lasting memories. Nick is very responsive and accommodating. Neighborhood is safe and quiet. The cottage has everything you’ll ever need for a stay.

Cozy Cottage
The cottage was very cozy, clean and comfortable and located in a quiet, safe, and residential area. Neighbors are super nice; saw some chickens running around and plenty of dogs. We walked our dog to Norbury’s Landing every day and the sunset there was beautiful. Host Nick was very communicative - responds right away; check in and out process super easy; willing to always help (super host in my view)! We used kitchen lightly (just for breakfast) and spent most of the day in Cape May which is a good 25 mins drive away and didn’t want to go back and forth (fyi- Cape May beaches require beach passes in the summer during life guarded hours). We didn’t check out the bay beaches (west side) or Wildwood area (east side separate from Cape May area). There is a CVS and Wawa near by and a cute farm stand further down right before entering Cape May. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Clean, modern property great for family
We’ve been staying in Cape May for over 15 years and this is one of the cleanest homes. The layout is great for a family and Nick thought of all the necessities! Although beach was a drive, the bay was great for morning walks with kids and within walking distance.

The house was great. All updated, with 3 bedrooms. Nick, our host, was terrific. We only had one problem and he got it fixed asap. Very good value. Only 20 minutes to Cape May and Wildwood

Beautiful house, great experience!
We had a wonderful stay at Whaler's Cottage! Communication leading up to and during our stay was a breeze. The owner was very responsive to all questions! Check-in and checkout were super easy. We would definitely stay here again! The house was beautiful, and the owner really thought of every detail and accommodation. We had two family groups, and it was nice that the queen bed and half bath were in their own wing, so to speak, to give everyone their own space. This house is perfect for those traveling with kids. The swing and chalboard in the bunk room were big hits, and our kids loved the playset in the backyard! The house is in a quiet, friendly neighborhood, and the neighbors gave us wonderful playground and beach recommendations! The bay beach is within walking distance. North Cape May Beach is about 5 miles away. Wildwood beaches and Cape May beaches are about 15-20 minute drives, depending on where you are headed.

Cozy boho chic cottage
This was the perfect place for our family! The neighborhood was very quiet and felt safe, and it was about a 15-20 minute drive from most of things we wanted to do in Cape May! Our kids enjoyed the beach area a few blocks from the house, and we even saw a bald eagle. I loved the beautiful and calming atmosphere of the home. It had plenty of cozy accents to make us feel right at home. We would definitely recommend this house for families with younger kids. Our girls enjoyed the swing in their room, and the playset out back. The owner was quick to respond to our questions, and was helpful.
