Cozy Ocean-Side Cottage @ Peaceful North End of Virginia Beach

Charming, clean and comfortable 1000 sq ft 2-bedroom with Loft ,1 1/2 bath cottage with outside shower located at the very end on the Ocean Side of Atlantic Avenue so there are no streets to cross. It's a short walk down a peaceful Live Oak tree-canopied pathway to the practically private beach. We are situated in a residential neighborhood so there are few tourists on the beach. If you need to accommodate a large family group, this duplex has another cottage available on the other side to sleep a total of 10 guests. See VRBO Unit A #7698792 (Atlantic Oasis Cottage).

Discount given for 7 or more days during off season stays.

We only rent to families and forbid parties and group gatherings of any kind. Security Cameras monitor the property and any excess guest occupancy after 9:30pm or noise violation is cause for immediate termination of stay. Maximum sleeping restricted to families of 4 adults and 2 children.

You have access to the fenced-in front "yard" which includes lovely landscaping with a brick paver patio, gas grill, picnic table, Adirondack chairs with table. The interior of the cottage is tastefully decorated and comfortable and includes all linens, bath towels, toiletries, and kitchenware.

We have Fios internet, cable tv, 3 smart televisions, gas fireplace, a/c, heat and ceiling fans. There are 2 bedrooms on the lower level with queen beds and a full bed in the loft area.
There is a shared separate laundry room (clothes washer and dryer) / beach gear room with beach-towels. umbrellas, beach chairs, cart, toys and even surf boards.
Newer living room furniture, full size appliances, freezer with ice maker, electric stove, microwave and all the kitchen amenities you might need. Sorry, no dishwasher.

Three-mile drive to the beginning of the boardwalk, The Cavalier Hotel with fine dining and all the other activities of Virginia Beach. So many fun activities in the area. Just to name a few are First Landing State Park at 64th street and other side of Shore Drive, Cape Henry Lighthouse on Fort Story is walking distance to escort parking area, The Virginia Beach Aquarium, I-Fly indoor skydiving, TopGolf, movie theaters, bowling, music venues, are all also very close. The list goes on and on.

Very cute, cozy, comfy beach house for four women friends on a beach trip. Nice living & dining rooms, kitchen with everything you need, two bedrooms on main floor. There is a third room in attic space as a bedroom but has steep, narrow steps to get to it. The main bathroom has a sink, mirror & bath tub but the toilet is in a very tight space against a wall. Has such a relaxing patio with deck chairs, picnic table & a grill. The house is in a residential location with access to a wonderful private beach.

Perfect location

Excellent location at the North end of Virginia Beach. The walk to the beach is lovely and it felt like our own private access. The cottage is very well appointed with a kitchen that has a coffee maker, blender, and air fryer. Having a second bathroom was also nice with 3 kids around. Plenty of room to stretch out in the living area. It's very simple to find restaurants, shipping, and the boardwalk from here as well.

Great stay! We are grateful.

My family and I really appreciate this stay- our main goal/criteria included: beach access, friendly neighborhood, & low VOC home (child with sensitivity)This stay definitely checked the boxes with the first two - active neighborhood with locals walking and meandering on. The home is directly near a road leading to a military base(lots of vehicle activity). Beach access is phenomenal with plenty of Dolphin sightings. In terms of the House- it definitely has a Beach Shack ambience that can use to TLC, but we enjoyed the eclectic nature. I will say the fragrance is strong in the laundry room, towels/linens, general home. So luckily we brought our own. Usually scented free detergent is the status quo. P.s. If you're looking for luxury bathrooms or spa bathtub this stay, is not it.

Fall beach getaway

Myself, my husband and my son really enjoyed our stay. Very nice and quiet area for rest and relaxation. Beautiful walk to the beach along the canopy of trees walkway. Right next to the military base so felt very safe as well. Wish there was more availability for future visits but property appears booked for the next 2 years.

Loved our quiet, cozy stay here

This little cottage was perfect for me and my friend. The home was clean and inviting and had everything we needed and more; the host clearly took great care in furnishing and decorating the space. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood and being able to easily access the beach. The host was also very kind and responsive. I would love to come back and stay for a longer trip!

Disappointing

The property was a disappointment: (1) it is not “ocean-side” but instead on a 4-way intersection across from at the entrance to a military base; (2) it is actually a split home (shared laundry, etc.) and you can clearly hear other side of the house; (3) oddly, there are large signs on the side of the property identifying the house as a short term rental and where complaints should be sent to; (4) the garbage cans were overflowing with trash; (5) there is no dishwasher; and (6) a bathroom that is comically small such that anyone over a certain height cannot sit on the toilet.

Had a great stay!

The house was perfect for our small family’s trip to the beach! The linens were nice and clean and so were wash areas (shower, sink). There were Rokus and smart TVs so we could log into our streaming services during down time, and a great selection of novels if you’re a reader like me. The area was quiet and we felt safe and comfortable. The path to the beach is a nice and relaxing walk with breath taking views. I would recommend a stay here!

Senior retreat

We were celebrating our 62 nd wedding anniversary with my wife’s sister and her brother in law. We enjoyed the quiet north end of Va Beach. Great access to the beach. About a 5 to 10 minute walk. The house was well furnished.

A Nice Beach Cottage

It was a very good stay. Felt clean and cozy overall. Nice, but dated a bit-- some of the dating was charming. Loft area is not especially usable. It was quite musty and pretty difficult to climb. Can't put small children up there for sure. Probably needs a new air conditioner in the loft as well, or a thorough cleaning of the current air conditioner. The patio is great, as well as the assortment of beach items to use during the stay. The location is good for the beach-- there was somewhat heavy traffic into the base day and night, but it was never very bothersome. Gotta be the best beach walk in Virginia Beach.

Memorial Day Weekend Trip

Enjoyed our first trip to Virginia Beach. Cottage was well equipped (especially the beach closet) and the perfect size for our group! Location and proximity to the beach was exactly as described.

Peace and quiet at the end of the line

This little gem is at the end of the Virginia Beach, just a few blocks from the state forest, and near the military base (which made us feel very safe). The place was clean, cute, and comfortable. The walk through the woods, to an expensive dunes and our own almost private beach was just what we needed. It's just a short drive to all the attractions that Virginia beach has to offer. I would definitely stay there again!

Off Season Rental - Excellent Experience

We are Senior Citizens that rent this property a couple times a year in the off season to visit our son and his family in Virginia Beach. The property is always clean and well kept. It is fully equipped with everything we need. All appliances and heating work well. The neighborhood is quiet and is only a 10 -15 minute drive to good restaurants on Shore Drive. We always enjoy our stay at this location near Fort Story.
