I was excited to get to Virginia Beach and be able to get to the room and relax and be able to see the beach. Well, when I go to check in, the room that I booked for the weekend was not available. That the only room that was available with king bed was on the first floor. Since there were no other rooms available, I settled into the room giving to me but the room was not giving me the atmosphere that I was hoping for. There was a bush outside of the patio door. Overall, the room was comfortable and I would stay again, hopefully I can get the room I book for

False advertisement and Unprofessional

My stay was ok. When I arrived and checked in, they didn't assign me the room that I purchased. I booked a king, and they gave me 2 queen beds. I payed a little extra for the king when I booked, so I feel like I should be entitled to a refund of the difference that I paid. Got to my room, it was nice. I noticed black spots on the wall and ceiling. They were bugs that was killed and no one cleaned them off the wall or ceiling. I called the front desk, and they sent Maintenace upstairs and he replied,' what am I supposed to do about that". Very unprofessional. They didn't have any more rooms available for me to switch. I was very nice and cooperative about both situations but in the future I will not book again.

Pros - Check in was easy and the ladies were very nice. Breakfast area was clean and nicely set up. Breakfast is free for children 11 and under. View of the beach and ocean was pretty. Cons - the area is not that nice (but I'm not sure any area in VA beach is). Seen a lot of police presence. The room was dirty - I found myself cleaning it just so that we could get comfortable. The tv did not work because the satellite was out.

I like that they were kid friendly and offered a kids eat free option. The staff when encounter were great. The food was good except the ancient grain option. The Hemingway Restaurant needs more staff the ones that do work there were all very nice. The cook is amazing! The pool area could use more chairs and more regular cleaning the water around the pool could cause a slip accident. I would recommend this hotel to family friends and co-workers with kids.

Loved this hotel. The staff was so friendly and kind. We will definitely stay there again. We had a beautiful ocean view and the boardwalk was great for walking. It was too cold for the beach but we enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
