Charming, Historic Home Minutes from Magnolia

This house maintains its 1920s charm with original shiplap ceilings, hardwood and chandeliers. A complete renovation in 2020 brings amenities to include: all new furnishings, central heat and air, WiFi, wall mounted televisions in living room and both bedrooms equipped with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Sling (orange and blue packages including local stations), Alexas in each room, and full size front loading washing machine and dryer. The updated kitchen includes granite counter tops, brand new appliances including a 5 burner gas stove, stainless steel side by side fridge, and microwave. BBQ grill located in backyard.

Enjoy the comforts of home, while you set off for a day of exploration in Waco.

The house was clean.The internet is terrible. It kept losing service throughout our stay. On our last day there, the lock box didn’t work. I’m not sure if it was because of the internet. We tried contacting the host by calling the two phone numbers they left in the guest book and also via the VRBO app. We did not hear from anyone for over 6 hours! We called and texted and were extremely annoyed that this was how we had to spend our last day there after only staying there for five days. I thought this was unacceptable. If you are going to be a host, then you need to be responsive to the people who have paid you for their stay.

The host was great at communicating and had everything laid out in their guide book in great detail. The house was not as nice as the photos looked. The windows are very thin and you could hear everything happening outside (like the neighbors dog all night long). The was clean but not well maintained.

Waco Charming House is a lovely, well decorated, tech advanced, well equipped, comfortable residence. The living room was cozy to watch the smart television. Although I brought my own laundry detergent, the house offered detergent pods, fabric softener and dryer sheets. The washer and dryer worked like a dream. The master bedroom was roomy and comfortable. The street the home is located on is very dark and made walking from the car to the front porch a little dangerous with regards to footing and stepping from the street to the sidewalk grassy area. Parking is on the street in front of the house. When the neighbor across the street parked his truck in front of his home it created a bottle neck on the street. Cars driving by drove very close to my vehicle as they passed by. The only complaint I would voice is the noise from the traffic. The home is located on a side street, but the amount of cars driving by the house was astonishing. A neighbor has a motorcycle and rode up and down the street for a minimum of half an hour. I was awakened by the sound of motorcycles, trucks and cars at 6:15a. The home is lovely, comfortable, well supplied but not quiet.

The proximity of this home worked very well for us during our stay. There is no driveway to park in but plenty of street parking right in front of the house. We didn't actually spend much time in the house other than sleeping and getting ready. The owners carried the decorating theme throughout the whole house. There was plenty of hot water for 3 daily back-to-back showers. Plenty of towels and the sheets were very new looking and clean. The owner was very responsive and we had no issues.

Moms weekend getaway

We are 2 moms with 3 kids each in need of a weekend getaway and this was the perfect place to spend it. This house was warm and cozy from the second you walked in. It was all things girly which we loved. Very close to magnolia!

Homeowner duped by cleaning crew

We did not actually stay and went to a hotel due to bedding not having been changed and general uncleanliness. The homeowner was very responsive and apologetic. She had paid for a “deep clean” 2 days prior to our check in. She did not get the services she paid for.
