Cap Hill 1-level Loft-style 2 Bedroom, near Capitol, Eastern MarketFREE Parking,
Look no further, your search for the perfect DC vacation spot is now complete! This Historic Mass Ave NE one level space originally built in the 1880âs, was completely restored in the 1990's and then was restored again in May 2017- it offers everything on your list of must-haves: historic charm, modern comfort, and an extremely convenient location in the heart of Historic Capitol Hill, next to Stanton Park, blocks from the Senate, Capitol, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, shops, restaurants, and Whole Foods. This one-level penthouse is located on the third level and comfortably sleeps 6 adults. One traditional bedroom and with a 2nd loft-style bedroom/living room with Queen bed and a pull-out couch. Thereâs a ROKU TV in the loft bedroom/living area with and chair and ottoman (The second bedroom is a loft-style living room bedroom in cove area and shares the broader space with the sleeper sofa). There is 1 full bathroom. The space features over approximately 1,000 square feet of livable area, new queen beds, a modern and equipped kitchen (gas stove, microwave, but no oven); bathroom with custom tile work, and a LED HDTV ROKU TV with high-speed wireless internet.
Located within walking distance of everything you need and want to see: the National Mall, Whole Foods, H Street, Trader Joeâs and Lincoln Park, but there are also two Metro stops within a 10 minute walk (Eastern Market and Union Station) and several bus stops within a block. Also, there are several bus touring companies that begin at Union Station that I highly recommend.
This is a well established tight knit neighborhood with a lots of senators, families, dog parks, old Victorian homes, and tree-lined streets. Eastern Market, Barracks Row (8th street) and the H Street Corridor are flooded with restaurants and great shops. Breakfast at Market Lunch (Eastern Market) is known for its Blueberry pancakes (likely the best in town). Union Station and Eastern Market are the closest Metro stations less than a 10 minute walk away. Just a couple of blocks to the Senate, Supreme Court, U.S. Capitol. Our neighborhood is quiet and residential, home to Members of Congress and their families, yet only blocks away from the cityâs political epicenter and a multitude of restaurants, bars, coffee-houses and shopping, everything DC has to offer will be at your doorstep!
PARKING: On-street parking requires a zoned parking permit, which is provided free of charge for guests to park one vehicle during their stay upon request. Parking for additional vehicles we recommend SpotHero App. PLEASE REQUEST PARKING PASS WHEN MAKING YOUR RESERVATION.

We enjoyed this historical place, very comfortable, well-kept and close to everything by walk. Very nice and reactive hosts to be mentioned too. We definitely recommend this rental for holidays in Washington DC.
We had everything we needed, which was minimal because we ate out and wandered a lot! Great great apartment- location gorgeous and convenient. Sleeping comfy, Decorations nice. A great place to stay!
This property was an ideal choice for our visit to DC for meetings on Capitol Hill. There was free on-street parking available, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals and there was a table we could use as a working desk. We will definitely book here again if it is available.
We absolutely loved this apartment in Capitol Hill! Eric was very responsive and helpful any time we had questions and the free parking made our visit so much easier! We loved the historic home and the modern updates were well-done. We had 2 adults and 2 teens and we were comfortable with the space and the small kitchen fit our needs perfectly for our stay. We are saving this on our list for our next visit!
Location, location, location. This is a perfect location for sightseeing in Washington DC. It is a short walk to the Capitol, National Mall, and many museums. It was perfect for our week-long trip. A safe and relatively quiet neighborhood. Lots of on-street parking. We found parking on the street before and then we didnât need to move our vehicle for street sweeping. Our family (2 adults, 4 kids aged 9-15) fit well in this apartment with plenty of sleeping room. Thereâs enough seating at the table to enjoy every meal: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. While there arenât many restaurants nearby, there is a Trader Joeâs a few blocks away and many restaurants a short walk (about 20 minutes) away. We recommend driving to Tedâs Bulletin! Definitely would return!
The property discrimination was a little confusing. We thought the main party was on the main level and the extra apartment was in the basement. Instead the main accommodations was upstairs and another room on main level. (Not really a big deal). The place was in a quiet neighborhood, walking distance to Metro. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The only issue really was there were 5 people staying in main and only 4 towels presnted.Overall a great place for a short stay.Thank you!
