Welcome to your home away from home! Located in Hillcrest DC, a beautiful, tree-lined neighborhood, most DC attractions are a short 10-15 minute Uber ride away.

For those driving, free street parking is available in front of house.

When you’re ready to tour the city, a five minute walk will take you to Metro bus that goes downtown, no transfers needed. If you prefer traveling by subway, the bus goes by a couple subway stations: Potomac Ave Station (12 mins from house with light traffic) and Eastern Market Subway Station (18 minutes from house with light traffic). Both are on the Blue, Orange and Silver subway lines. Recommended grocery stores, retailers and restaurants are near Eastern Market Subway Station.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful time in D.C. and this house was a huge part of that. We thoroughly enjoyed being in the house and communicating with the owner was simple. We will definitely be booking it again.

Great location with easy access to public transportation if you need it. Uber and Doordash were also able to be utilized with no issues. House is clean and Shia is a wonderful host. We'd stay here again if we visit DC in the future.

My family and I just stayed 7/24-7/28 and we were impressed with the fact the home had everything we needed and more. It was updated with modern appliances, clean, comfortable beds and we thought the home was decorated well. Location was good!

Family Vacation

Wonderful! We had a fabulous time! Beautiful & comfy accommodations, layout was perfect for our family, kitchen “bar” worked beautifully and table for evening board games. Easy access to DC Mall, The Wharf, Museums. Nice quiet neighborhood! Shia an excellent Host.

Awesome place for R&R in DC

This property was everything the previous reviews said. Great location (15 min from everything - DCA airport, monuments, museums, etc). Great comfort (memory foam mattresses are you kidding me?). Great host (super communication, very helpful and friendly).

We came to DC to participate in the Rock and Roll Washington DC half marathon and 5 K. The house is beautiful. The location is good too. We had a rental car and getting to and from DC was easy. Shia was quick to respond to my messages and has been nice throughout the rental process.

Beautiful home in quiet neighborhood. We didn't have a car so we used Uber and Lyft. (Next time we'll rent a car). We'd spent 6 + hours touring the Mall and museums and then retreated back to the house. Very cozy.

Wonderful stay!

The house was exactly as it shows in the pictures online - very clean, spacious, contemporary and comfortable. We had tours, exhibits, restaurants, concerts and shows lined up for most of the weekend, so didn’t spend a lot of time in the house, but it was great to come back to in the evening and relax, as well as start the day off with breakfast here. We had a question about the heating, and were easily able to get hold of Shia, who was most accommodating and immediately addressed our concern.

Awesome place!

This is a very nice home that is comfortable, spotless and convenient. It has been recently updated, with all new furniture and appliances. It is in a quiet and nice neighborhood. The attention to the small details like a book full of recommendations of things to see, do, eat and shop was also appreciated. We enjoyed our stay in DC- and hope to come back in the not too distant future. Shia, the host, was available, friendly and helpful in every way.

Magnificent

The host was a godsend, turned a negative start on a vacation to a positive with the last minute, same-day reservation. She was very flexible. The home is magnificently decorate it do not give it a second thought. If you can get into this location, you will not be disappointed.

Nice house

Beautiful, clean house. Owner was very responsive. Close, 5 minute walk to bus stop. About a $25 Lyft ride to most monuments/museums. I wouldn’t really say it’s in walking distance to much. The neighborhood itself seemed good, but we didn’t feel comfortable venturing outside of the immediate neighborhood.

Simple, Clean, Excellent Location for our needs

This property was a lovely home in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The home was neat, and clean. It was bright and cheery. Parking was easy. Access was easy. The home was out of a few basics to tidy up things like the kitchen counters after cooking. But that was really small compared to everything else. The proximity to The National Mall was excellent and easy to get there. The reference material to successfully navigate the broader neighborhood was also welcome.

Beautiful home!

My daughter and I stayed here for a week, I traveled from Hawaii and my daughter came from Montana. This is a truly lovely home on a quiet side street. Everything is extremely clean, the beds are comfortable and there are many additional items in the home that are super helpful when traveling, so as laundry soap, lots of spices, oils, soy sauce, etc. and that was so very much appreciated! Shia was so fast to respond and was very sweet. I asked if there was a way to make the shower water hotter and she had a plumber there the next day to address my request- amazing! Loved our stay.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The property looks as advertised. It is spacious and comfortable. It’s a fantastic home to come to after a day of visiting museums, monuments and other attractions in DC. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Spacious, clean and up-to-date house

The house was exactly as described and did not disappoint. It was super clean and everything was in good working order. It was nice to have a washer and dryer at our disposal. The house was very technologically advanced with smart switches and monitoring/convenient devices. The check in/out procedures and “House Rules” were reasonable and communicated well.
