I stayed at the Hamilton Hotel from 9/19-9/21. My hotel is room is so dirty. There are stains all over the carpet, rusted shower parts, limescale or something on the shower head that caused a rash. The shower won’t drain. I would like refund or credit for my stay.

Good Location and Friendly Staff, but Cleanliness

In Washington, D.C., this hotel is in a very convenient location and offers reasonable, affordable room rates. The staff are friendly and helpful, which is greatly appreciated. However, there are several areas that need improvement, particularly regarding cleanliness. The carpet in the room was quite dirty, with numerous long-standing black stains, which made it appear unhygienic and somewhat unpleasant. Considering that many guests are accustomed to walking barefoot on the carpet, this could also pose potential health risks. Additionally, the bathroom lacks a ventilation fan, which causes the floor to become very slippery after a shower. This not only creates discomfort but also presents a potential safety hazard for guests.

Older but quite comfortable and sufficient hotel near the conference I attended. Room was clean and quiet except for very loud toilet plumbing. Exercise room was decent and clean. I didnt do much else there except sleep and work out! Attached Italian restaurant was okay for breakfast--nothing healthy or plant based on the menu and generally overpriced, but I don't rate that with the hotel. Very safe area to walk across from a nice park. For the price, this is an excellent value especially for a business traveler.

I just would like a fan in the kitchen and a small mirror in the bathroom. A shower cap would be nice and completely breakfast. Other that it was great.

Lobby was under construction- with that said, chairs/sofas in lobby are dirty/show wear. Our bathroom counter was very small and not convenient to place our shaving/skin care/ other care products around… after checking in, we went up to our room and the extremely expensive boxes of candy/ food were opened up and eaten (not really sure how that actually happened when we just had checked in!) After that experience and first impression, we just felt like someone had been in our room who should not have. We never had a chance to try the restaurant at the hotel but food in the immediate vicinity is sparse. Probably a good hotel if you’re just leaving in the morning for the historic value of DC, eating in other parts of DC, and returning to sleep.

The hotel is a bit dated, but it was clean and comfortable enough for my two-night stay. The lobby and front entrance are currently under renovation, which is worth noting. The front desk appeared to be somewhat understaffed, but the staff I interacted with were kind and welcoming.
