Amazing structure and design with beautiful view
This was an amazing place. It has unique structures, a cozy tree house for sleeping, and a huge dock on the river. You arrive at the top of the property. This area has a big yard, picnic table, and fire rings, along with bikes to ride in the neighborhood. The real treat is through the gate that is on the back edge of the property. This gate opens up to multilevel decking all the way down to the riverfront dock. Along the way, the series of steps have decks in various sizes and uses (all have seating), a fireplace, a bench, tall seats with a table, an outside shower, and the most unique is the sleeping cottage. More like a big birdhouse as you are up in the trees. This area has beds, a bathroom, and an area for coffee, tea, snacks, and a small refrigerator. Best of all Hot and cold running water and an amazing view. Going down the steps to the other layers of decking to arrive at the final deck that is on the river. The dock is big and long. It has multiple areas for seating, kayaks, a canoe, paddleboards, and a boat lift if you brought your own. On this level is the real kitchen. Tucked into a small building is a full-size refrigerator, cabinets, microwave, toaster oven, cook plate, ice maker, and all kitchenware you may need. Outside on the deck is a sink with hot and cold running water for whatever needs you may have for it. I literally spent an entire day on the cushioned bench on the dock reading, looking out onto a beautiful section of the Oak Orchard River, and watching ducks, geese, and swans. Yes Swans! (Husband was fishing). We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again. The hosts could not have been kinder or more accommodating. All necessities and some nice perks (snacks!) are provided. Thank you !
