Not worth the $136/night cost

First night of an extended cross-country trip, and we were glad to be leaving. Our room was "upgraded" to the lower level lake view, but I wish it hadn't been. A/C was difficult to figure out, so we were glad for the overhead fan and the ability to open windows for a breeze. From 10pm to 4am, whomever was in the room above us moved furniture around, scraped the floor, dropped things and generally made as much noise as possible. 3am brought barking dogs into the chaos. We have no idea what they could have been doing, but it was so frustrating, I can't believe no one else complained. I tend to believe it was the owners' rooms/area of the property. I did voice a complaint upon checkout and received, "I'm sorry, I don't know what room it could have been." Yes, we could have complained sometime during the night, but we had just finished a 12 hour car ride after my husband came home from his 3rd shift job. Neither of us had the energy to complain in the middle of the night. We weren't awake the whole time, but we were not able to get consistent sleep either. Maybe if we had been in a different area of the hotel it would have been different, but we will not be returning to find out.

Hostess extremely nice. Room very good. I noticed that If you have mobility issues be aware there are stairs to the lobby but there are some ground floor level rooms. View of the lake is lovely.
