Eclectic Luxurious 70s Mansion. Originally constructed for a renowned manufacturing jeweller with attention to detail & some fascinating features only a visit will reveal. A truly unique property with handles and a chandelier hand made by the jeweller himself. Marble open fireplace, floor to ceiling windows overlooking central Tawa, and all day sun. Privacy is number one, surrounded by bush and no visible neighbours. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway.

All day sun, Large house with multiple living areas. Modern bathrooms and kitchen. Looks over native New Zealand bush, with no visible neighbours from the house. Large master bedroom with ensuite, walk in wardrobe and views over tawa. Two other Large bedrooms with queen beds and a loft style bedroom with a queen bed and a sofa bed including tv and playstation 4, with views over tawa.

Media room with a huge 85inch tv, Lounge with open fireplace and bar, and a sitting room with hanging chair and views of the NZ bush.
Great house to hang out with friends and family but to also have your own time.

Entire main part of the house is available, you'll be the only one onsite. Garage and lower part of the house is used for storage and is not available for guests.

We booked the house for four nights. Due to arriving at the house late afternoon we had no option but to stay at the house on the first night. We contacted the owner the following morning to advise home that the property was not fit for letting and cancelled the remaining three days. To be frank, one would not stay at the property even if it was free. The property did not present as advertised - in fact it was the polar opposite. The property was advertised as a 70's Mansion - indeed I am confident that carpet throughout the house was the original carpet from the 1970's. Upon entering the house you were greeted with a pungent musky moldy smell. The smell was throughout the entire house and the presence of mold and dirt and grime throughout the house presented genuine health concerns. Both the washing machine and clothes dryer each contained a full load of clothes. Personal toiletries were left in the bathroom and a laundry basket in the bathroom contained more clothes. Personal items were left strewn across the house. The carpet had not been cleaned in a very long time. Both myself and the other four guests have been regular uses of holiday letting for many years - and would each categorically declare that the house is not up to the expected minimum standard expected or required for rent. None of us have ever thought of leaving holiday let in the past. Many other issues however only 1500 characters. Request for a partial refund was ignored. Gary,Col,Rod,Joanne&Paul Brisbane
