Fabulous stay. Cottage very comfortable and in excellent location. Close to the coast with a lovely village shop and pub. Courtyard garden quiet and peaceful. Cottage has everything you need and we will definitely be visiting again.
Comfortable and well equipped cottage in a lovely village. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. Downsides were the very steep stairs and rather too many cobwebs. therestairs nnegatives

Great hideaway for walking the Norfolk Coastal Path.
Generally speaking this was a lovely and very cosy little place to stay. Comfortable, well equipped and within walking distance of shop/cafe and pub. Easy to find and easy to get into.
A couple of small things - a proper light-blocking curtain in the main bedroom was needed, and it would have been really helpful to have had a printed list of local places to eat - you don't always want to go online to start researching after a long day's walking. The Red Lion was very good though.

A delightful cottage
We had another wonderful stay at Honey Barrel Cottage. It provides you with everything you need. The weather was cold and windy so we enjoyed evenings in front of the wood burning stove watching some great films from the dvd collection. We slept well in the comfortable bed. The garden is totally secure for our dog and nicely sheltered from the wind. Stiffkey Stores is superb and only a short walk away.

Great location
Nice cottage in excellent location. The stairs are very steep which is in the description however they are made quite dangerous as they are painted in a gloss type paint which makes them slippery, you need to take socks off and go one step at a time. There is damp in the main sitting room with paint coming off the walls. The cottage was clean but needs attention when you open the windows.

Disappointing, wouldn't go again.
Cottage is located right on the main road which can get very busy and traffic noise really disturbing. I left a day early because I couldn't put up with the noise any longer. Inside was clean but a bit scruffy e.g. the curtains don't fit very well. The lighting isn't good, one small table lamp in each room which isn't bright enough to read by and the main overhead lights very bright and not particularly relaxing. The shower could do with a usable shelf as everything has to go on the floor. The little garden is pretty and secure for dogs and there is plenty of equipment.

Great stay in wonderful North Norfolk location
For our five night stay at Honey Barrel Cottage in Stiffkey, we were extremely pleased with our choice of accommodation and its location in a beautiful part of North Norfolk. The cottage certainly lived up to our expectations, both in its quaintness and character, being typical of the area. The accommodation was very clean and provided all the provisions one would need when self catering; there was even basic food stuffs and complementary milk and biscuits. A very cosy place to stay, set within a courtyard surrounded by other individual flint cottages, this was perfect to soak up the atmosphere of this area of outstanding natural beauty. The weather was not the best during our break, but we did have some nice cosy nights in with our dog. There are some lovely walks around the village, as well as those along the coastal marshes. Evidently, the management of the holiday accommodation by Norfolk stay was very good indeed and everything from the ease of booking through to arrival went smoothly. Just two very minor points of constructive criticism are, the garden vegetation along the path needed some pruning maintenance to prevent wet clothes after rain when walking through, plus just for presentation reasons, the garden furniture was in need of re-varnishing. All in all, we would definitely recommend a stay at Honey Barrel Cottage, if North Norfolk is on your radar for a holiday break

Autumnal walking glory
The cottage was perfectly placed to explore our location. We walked to Wells during lovely weather and tackled Moreston on a lovely sunny day. The cottage was the ideal place to return to to cook our dinner and relax fir the evening.

Happy Holiday
Cottage as described, and lovelier than expected. Quiet, despite the proximity of the road.
Yup, stairs steep & shallow, but good handrail.
Location, cottage & garden space suited us two, and our dog, very well. All positive.

A lovely week at Honey Barrel Cottage
Honey Barrel Cottage was the perfect location for our week long stay on the north Norfolk coats with our dog. The cottage is small but just the right size for the three of us. Living in a very old house, as we do, we're well accustomed to and appreciative of the quirks that come with period properties. We very much hope Honey Barrel will become our go-to accommodation whenever we're up in neighbouring Norfolk.
its a small cottage but with everything one needs, and a lovely small outside table and chairs - ideal when the weather is good.
Stiffkey is a nice village with an excellent shop and is close to the Norfolk coast path and the bus stop for the excellent Coast Hopper bus service
