Property was nice. Hot tub only had 3 jets working. Disappointed no breakfast and restrusant didnât not offer breakfast either. Price was a lot more than super 8 and felt like got more from super 8. Which is where I normally stay, just thought we check out this one.
the rooms are clean and comfortable. the staff are very friendly, from the front desk to the restaurant. My only reasons for not giving 5 stars are the lack of a breakfast and not having toiletries, hygiene products, or OTC medicines like acetaminophen or ibuprofen available for purchase. Even a spread of donuts, juice and coffee would be a nice touch in the morning.
The reception staff are great. The assistant manager is also very nice. The general Manager, well I am still waiting to hear back from him about the restaurant complaint as he oversees the lodge and the restaurant.
The lodge itself is great, although they do advertise a fitness area in the lodge, yet I was unable to find it. The room was very clean and comfortable although there was no coffee maker in the room, they do offer it complimentary in reception and in the vending area.
The lodge also has the Lumber jack restaurant with it. My review is about the lodge and the restaurant review is on Google as a 1 star, I ask you to make your own opinions!
I love the new refreshed look! Our room was clean and stylish. My only complaint would be the shower door was weird and the floor would get wet. Also the tv remote wouldn't work.
Nice, clean, log cabin style hotel. Easy, friendly check-in, plenty of parking. Heated pool w/pool side rooms. Family restaurant w/a full bar. Plenty of souvenir type things to buy along with plenty pictures thatctell the generational story of this hotel.
No in-room coffee, but coffee & tea are available for guests in the lobby.
Overall a nice overnight stay.
Hotels.com reservation system failed and although I had a confirmation number, there were no vacancies at the hotel. With the help of the staff, I was able to locate the only vacancy in the area at a hotel for $60 more per night that was a 40 minute drive, so my vacation wasn't completely ruined.
Quality Inn has a pretty consistent brand, but this location has more rustic charm and character than other Quality Inns. The staff were always friendly, rooms were nice and clean. If you don't like stairs or have a lot of luggage, it would be wise to request a ground floor room when you make the reservation. They do not have an elevator that can handle the luggage cart.
My only disappointment was that the nightly rate was higher than any other Quality Inn I've stayed at before. Usually we just stay at a campground in the area, but this trip was in November and I don't have an RV.
