Above The Clouds is located at 4700 feet above sea level and offers a stunningly beautiful 180-degree mountain view atop the prestigious Crown Pointe, offering paved road access. This charming log cabin offers three bedrooms and two baths, and is tastefully furnished with all the comforts of home and more!

From the moment you step out of your vehicle, the awe-inspiring view is sure to take your breath. From the front porch you’ll find comfy outdoor furniture to relax in and enjoy a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine as you enjoy the view. Inside this nicely furnished log home the main level features a welcoming living area with a gas stone fireplace and comfy leather furniture. There’s a large flat-screen TV for watching sports or movies and WIFI is available for those that need to stay in touch with work or just catch up on emails.

The well-equipped kitchen and dining area is open to the living area and offers plenty of cabinetry and counter space for preparing family meals or a quick snack. There are also double French doors that lead out to the screened-in back porch - Great for outdoor dining or just relaxing while reading a good book!
Also, on the main level you will find two spacious bedrooms, one with a comfy queen bed and another with 2 sets of bunk beds (4 twins) that share a hall bath. One of these bedrooms offers direct access to the screened-in porch as well.

Upstairs, you will find a spacious master suite with king size bed and large flat screen tv. The spacious bath features a whirlpool tub for your relaxation enjoyment and a separate shower.

The spacious loft area offers a futon for additional sleeping space and another TV.
The spacious deck area offers a bubbling hot tub with gorgeous long range mountains. You are sure to want to relax here!

Above The Clouds is located just 8 miles from downtown West Jefferson and 22 miles from Boone, it is convenient to activities such as skiing, rafting, tubing, hiking and biking. For some winter fun, head to one of our three most popular ski resorts: Appalachian Ski Mtn, Sugar Mtn, or Beech Mtn.

The perfect holiday retreat!

One of our favorite rentals! We were lucky to be at the cabin for an early snowstorm and loved how cozy everything was - down to the crockpot, fireplace, and reading nook.

This is a nice property with an awesome view. You definitely need awd or 4 wheel drive on the driveway and the gravel road up to the house. The weather was great. We saw lots of deer. We had a problem getting programs on one of the tv’s but called and the issue was addressed quickly. Management very nice. Beautiful sunsets. Would love to stay there again.

We loved our stay! The view can’t be beat!! The cabin is decorated so beautifully and it has all the amenities we needed plus more. It was chilly at night so the gas fireplace was perfect! Love the extra touches like all the hooks on the walls for coats, towels, swimsuits and clothes. :-)

Wonderful, long range views

The cabin is located in a beautiful area with wonderful views! Views from the porch area are great! The cabin itself is beautiful and comfortably decorated. The master bed room is upstairs so keep in mind if you have a handicapped or older adults with you. We had a wonderful time and would rent this unit again!

Birthday Mountain Top Getaway

Celebrating my girlfriends birthday with her son and his wife. The place is fabulous as is the view. You are literally "in the clouds"! First rental that had good knives for cooking. I brought mine just in case but didn't need them. I might be a bit pampered, but cookware cold use an update. All in all, a great place to get away!

Reviewer Comments: We arrived after dark and the driving directions were perfect to get us there.The morning we were supposed to leave weather caused a delay as the road down wasn't clear so the management company extended our check out and by noon the road was clear enough to drive out.Amazing views from the deck. Cabin is cute, cozy, and clean.Only thing to be aware of is that there is another cabin less than 100ft away that isn't really seen in the photos. Great place and we look forward to returning.

Amazing location

Wonderful cabin on top of a mountain with breathtaking views. You can literally watch the weather roll in over the mountain tops. Comfortable cabin that is well furnished and up to date. Paved access the whole way. Snowed on our trip, and the plows were out immediately. Had an ice storm as well, with the same results of immdiate salting of the roadways. Mattress topper kind of stinks in the queen bedroom, and many of the cups/plates/utensils were not clean, yet put away as if they were. Plenty of towels and extra blankets provided. We found the stove to be oddly under powered, as it seemed to struggle to boil water in a pot. Cooking is possible, just very slow. Overall, very happy and would absolutely stay again.

The sheets need to be replaced as they are pilling and therefore itchy and uncomfortable. The hot tub had visible guck that needs to be cleaned. There was hair on the walls of the shower so it was clear the shower had not been cleaned. Most of all the dishes were disgusting. Every dish needed to be cleaned before use. Plated were caked in some sort of honey substance and sticking to each other. The grill had burned meat all over it.

Entering the cabin for the first time was awesome! The cabin is quirky, beautifully maintained, with plenty of space and views everywhere! The kitchen contained everything we needed to cook our meals, it was functional! The cabin was clean and well maintained. The wildlife around the cabin was such a joy to watch and the environment was incredibly relaxing and renewing! The star is the never ending panoramic views from the hot tub every evening as we watched the sun dip below the massive ridges of the by sprawling mountain side! It was a pleasure having the opportunity to be surrounded by such beauty! We are renewed!!! Thank you!

The wildlife around the cabin was such a joy to watch and the environment was incredibly relaxing and renewing! The star is the never ending panoramic views from the hot tub every evening as we watched the sun dip below the massive ridges of the by sprawling mountain side! It was a pleasure having the opportunity to be surrounded by such beauty! We are renewed!!! Thank you!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is amazing itself, but you don't even have to step inside before it starts showing off. The view off the porch is INCREDIBLE. You get the sunset literally in your face.... you can even watch the sunset FROM THE HOT TUB. If you're looking for a place to get away, to hear no traffic or people, the have some serious rest and relaxation, this needs to be your top choice. Super clean, comfy beds, plentiful kitchenware, huge TVs, and an extensive game cabinet.
