Book Your August Cabin Retreat Before It's Gone @ Above The Clouds

Above The Clouds is located at 4700 feet above sea level and offers a stunningly beautiful 180-degree mountain view atop the prestigious Crown Pointe, offering paved road access. This charming log cabin offers three bedrooms and two baths, and is tastefully furnished with all the comforts of home and more!

From the moment you step out of your vehicle, the awe-inspiring view is sure to take your breath. From the front porch you’ll find comfy outdoor furniture to relax in and enjoy a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine as you enjoy the view. Inside this nicely furnished log home the main level features a welcoming living area with a gas stone fireplace and comfy leather furniture. There’s a large flat-screen TV for watching sports or movies and WIFI is available for those that need to stay in touch with work or just catch up on emails.

The well-equipped kitchen and dining area is open to the living area and offers plenty of cabinetry and counter space for preparing family meals or a quick snack. There are also double French doors that lead out to the screened-in back porch - Great for outdoor dining or just relaxing while reading a good book!
Also, on the main level you will find two spacious bedrooms, one with a comfy queen bed and another with 2 sets of bunk beds (4 twins) that share a hall bath. One of these bedrooms offers direct access to the screened-in porch as well.

Upstairs, you will find a spacious master suite with king size bed and large flat screen tv. The spacious bath features a whirlpool tub for your relaxation enjoyment and a separate shower.

The spacious loft area offers a futon for additional sleeping space and another TV.
The spacious deck area offers a bubbling hot tub with gorgeous long range mountains. You are sure to want to relax here!

Above The Clouds is located just 8 miles from downtown West Jefferson and 22 miles from Boone, it is convenient to activities such as skiing, rafting, tubing, hiking and biking. For some winter fun, head to one of our three most popular ski resorts: Appalachian Ski Mtn, Sugar Mtn, or Beech Mtn.
NOTE: there are exterior security cameras pointed at the driveway for your safety.

The perfect holiday retreat!

One of our favorite rentals! We were lucky to be at the cabin for an early snowstorm and loved how cozy everything was - down to the crockpot, fireplace, and reading nook.

Amazing location

Wonderful cabin on top of a mountain with breathtaking views. You can literally watch the weather roll in over the mountain tops. Comfortable cabin that is well furnished and up to date. Paved access the whole way. Snowed on our trip, and the plows were out immediately. Had an ice storm as well, with the same results of immdiate salting of the roadways. Mattress topper kind of stinks in the queen bedroom, and many of the cups/plates/utensils were not clean, yet put away as if they were. Plenty of towels and extra blankets provided. We found the stove to be oddly under powered, as it seemed to struggle to boil water in a pot. Cooking is possible, just very slow. Overall, very happy and would absolutely stay again.

Birthday Mountain Top Getaway

Celebrating my girlfriends birthday with her son and his wife. The place is fabulous as is the view. You are literally "in the clouds"! First rental that had good knives for cooking. I brought mine just in case but didn't need them. I might be a bit pampered, but cookware cold use an update. All in all, a great place to get away!

Beautiful cabin and views!

We loved our stay! The view can’t be beat!! The cabin is decorated so beautifully and it has all the amenities we needed plus more. It was chilly at night so the gas fireplace was perfect! Love the extra touches like all the hooks on the walls for coats, towels, swimsuits and clothes. :-)

Wonderful, long range views

The cabin is located in a beautiful area with wonderful views! Views from the porch area are great! The cabin itself is beautiful and comfortably decorated. The master bed room is upstairs so keep in mind if you have a handicapped or older adults with you. We had a wonderful time and would rent this unit again!

Enjoyed our stay in West Jefferson. The cabin at pinnacle point was just perfect. Very nicely decorated and well equipped kitchen. We had a nice quiet and relaxing trip.

Lovely home with gorgeous Mountain View. Front and back porches gave us options to stay in sunlight! Great WiFi which we appreciated being in the mountains. Close to cute little town of West Jefferson. The upstairs shower is very tiny - we tried and then opted not to use it! Road to neighbors very close to back of house.

Fabulous mountain getaway

Rented this cabin to celebrate my dad’s retirement and get an escape from the heat. The house was perfect and the views were amazing. Nothing beats sitting on the porch over looking the mountains with a cup of coffee. Definitely plan to return!

Great cabin

One of the best cabins we’ve stayed in. Kids loved the games and hot tub. Great view of the mountains. Neighbor cabin Is close by but they were not distracting at all. Enjoyed our stay.

Stunning Views - Comfy Cabin

We absolutely loved this property! The views were amazing, the cabin was big, but comfy and inviting, and the property management company had great communication. We also appreciated that the roads were paved all the way up to this property. and the few neighbors we encountered were extremely warm and welcoming.

Great mountain getaway for Labor Day!

The view is amazing! By far breathtaking. Easy check in, clean space. Perfect for 6 adults. We enjoyed most of our time on the porch. Only improvement would be that the screen door on the back porch doesn’t have the screen secured at the bottom. We had to push the heavy chairs in front of door so that the dogs couldn’t escape, therefore we weren’t able to use the blocked door to go in and out.
