Yellowstone National Park Operating Dates

The West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park operates seasonally. The typical summer season runs from the third Saturday in April through November 1. The West Entrance then generally closes from November 1 through mid-December before reopening for the winter oversnow travel season, which typically runs from mid-December through mid-March.

The entrance then closes again until the summer season begins in April.
