Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at delightful whangamata the accomodation was perfect and suited our age range from 6 months to 60 years old and our pets. Alan was a super host nothing was too much trouble and his communication was brilliant .I would definitely recommend this accomodation to my friends and family and would love to stay again Thanks for everything super memories .

Great house for family stay in prime location

An excellent house for all the family to stay. Location is ideal - a quick walk to the estuary and shop. Nice quiet area. The fire makes the house cosy (and hot) on the cooler nights. This will be first choice whenever the entire family stay at Whanga.

Perfect place for our group of friends

We were disappointed with the property, particularly the downstairs bathrooms and lack of maintenance. There was a broken chair on the deck and a broken blind in the dining area. When we arrived the cleaning hadn’t been done and piles of laundry were outside the bedrooms

Lovely beach holiday option for large group

The property was the perfect beach break for our large family group. Located across the road from the Estuary reserve and the surf beach at the end of the road (or accessed by walking along the beautiful estuary walkway.

Grandies paradise

A great place for our diverse range of ages. There was plenty of space for everyone to go and do their own thing including sleeping babies. The additional showers were a big plus. Proximity to the estuary and the beach was awesome especially with 4 little boys who had to be kept busy!Apart from the pantry door in the kitchen sticking quite badly and there being no dishwasher, everything else was spot on. Spacious house, with two large decks. It has everything we needed. It is a convenient location to the estuary and beach, friendly neighborhood. Helen and Alan were great communicators. Would happily stay there again.

Christmas at Whangamatā

Such a great, well-equipped house! Wonderful hosts! We were a four generation group enjoying a long-overdue catch-up with extended whānau, so being able to spread out across all 5.5 bedrooms and the many living areas was perfect with our large numbers. It was just a short walk to the beautiful river and south end of the surf beach for lots of swimming, fishing and beach life. Thanks Helen and Alan!

Amazing home for a family celebration
