Or take a picnic in the 2.5 km long Castle Park!
The from the 09th Century castle was enlarged over the centuries, and from about 1750 transformed into a Baroque castle. Last used as a boarding school, the castle was from 2005 a major overhaul and modernize while preserving the historic facades. Today the castle is used for private purposes.

The keep still goes back to the original fortification, with the German order of knights secured the road to the east.
In the village Wiesenburg you will find the most important shops and the restaurant carriage house right on the castle. In the surrounding woods you can walk for hours without meeting anyone. And yet you can from the station, just located at the end of the castle park, within about 50 minutes journey time by train reach the capital Berlin with its countless museums and shopping. The Wittenberg with its historical sites of the Reformation, the Luther House, the city and the castle church and the Old Latin School can be reached by car in around 30 minutes.
Also Potsdam with its castle Sanssouci or the Bauhaus Dessau are not far away.

Feeling Like Cinderella

It was amazing to stay in a real castle. It made me feel like a genuine princess! The apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable, while still being beautiful. Annette was very accommodating and welcoming. It was the highlight of our trip to Germany!

What a wonderful place to stay.

This was our family's favorite place to stay on our European vacation. Everything was very clean and the place was much larger than we expected. We eat dinner at an adjacent restaurant and enjoyed exploring around the castle and small town. Felt very safe and everyone enjoyed the experience of staying in a castle. We also took advantage of cleaning everyone's dirty. Many places we rented in Europe had a washer only and this one had both a washer and dryer. We would certainly rent this place again.

Wonderful stay!

Our stay was wonderful! The apartment is bigger than we expected, which was a nice change from the smaller spaces we'd been in over the last week. It was clean and well- supplied. The beds were very comfortable and the Italian restaurant on site offered a nice (and very affordable) dinner option. There is no AC, but opening the windows provided a nice breeze. I would not suggest this for people with limited physical abilities. The parking is about 100m away and then up 2 flights of stairs. We enjoyed our castle stay immensely and highly recommend!!

Amazing Experience

Despite a brief issue checking in, staying in Schloss Wiesenburg was nothing short of amazing. A quaint town with a beautiful park and lake greeted us, all viewable from the castle. The castle itself was small but the apartment was anything but. We had far more room than we knew what to do with, each chamber nicely decorated and well lit. With a Supermarkt and Italian restaurant at it’s base, we had we all needed to make the most of our village excursion. Would recommend to anyone seeking a taste of castle living or village life.

Favorite Stay of Our Trip

My parents and I loved our recent stay in this castle apartment which provided a rare opportunity for us to stay in an actual castle. The apartment was very spacious with lots of room and plenty of spots to relax indoors. Our expectations were exceeded and we were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and brightness of the apartment as some of the pictures do make the rooms look little dark. The castle gardens are a wonderful space to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and fresh air. You somewhat feel as though you are taken back in time. The castle is in a somewhat small village in the countryside but there is a grocery store, bakery and Italian restaurant nearby. A small parking lot is located nearby, with a short walk to the castle, which is located on the second floor. The castle is about 1.5 hours southwest of Berlin but you can get there by car or public transportation by combination of bus and train. Just be sure to have the return trip planned as the train runs every hour but the bus is not as frequent and ends service sooner than the train. If you have a car, I would recommend driving to the train station but even if you don't, the bus will get you there and back. It was great relaxing on the train after a full day of sightseeing in Berlin! Would definitely recommend staying here as it was a wonderful experience and a cool place to stay!

Sehr gepflegtes Appartement in historischem Ambiente

Alles war perfekt, bis auf fehlendes warmes Wasser. Die Heizungsanlage war defekt und konnte erst nach dem Wochenende repariert werden. Uns wurde dafür ein Preisnachlass in Aussicht gestellt.Das Schloss und die Umgebung sind sehr stilvoll. Am Wochenende war der Schlossplatz gesperrt wegen des Blumenmarktes. Wir konnten aber auf den Netto-Parkplatz in der Nähe ausweichen Es gibt auch Cafés und eine Trattoria direkt am Schloss. Sehr einladend.

Wir wollten immer mal in einem Schloss Urlaub machen. Dieses Jahr hat es geklappt. Die Wohnung ist schön eingerichtet, es ist alles da was man täglich braucht. Zum einkaufen braucht man auch nur 5 min zu Fuß gehen.zu Empfehlen ist Wittenberg, der Leipziger Zoo und Potsdam

Amazing Castle Apartment in Wiesenburg

Wow. What an amazing property. Let’s start with the apartment. We were able to park just outside the gate (maybe 20 steps away) - we had the essentials available to us in the neighborhood surrounding our apartment. A small grocery store, a bakery, and a restaurant that sold food including Turkish Pizza. We took advantage of the grocery store and purchased some beverages and food. The apartment is located upstairs on the 2nd floor. Truly beautiful. We had great bedrooms, kitchen, a dining room, and a washing machine. Living room is large, comfortable, and has a beautiful television. My favorite time of day is Noon when the church bells play. Walk around the grounds of Castle Wiesenburg and enjoy the beautiful views, sounds, and fragrances. Beyond our greatest expectations.

EINFACH PERFEKT

Die Ferienwohnung wie auch die direkte Lage am Schloss Wiesenburg sind einfach traumhaft! Es war alles bestens und für einen besonderen Aufenthalt ist diese Ferienwohnung unbedingt zu empfehlen, zumal man sich anhand der Ausstattung (3 separat und überaus stilvoll eingerichtete Schlafzimmer, eine Küche, ein Esszimmer, ein großer Wohnbereich, 2 Bäder etc.) wirklich wie in einem Schloss fühlt! Wir kommen gern noch einmal privat wieder! DANKE

wunderschönes Anwesen und Wohnung

Ein wirklich märchenhafter Aufenthalt im Schloss Wiesenburg. Eine wunderschöne Wohnung im Schloss, dass direkt an einem tollen Parkgelände liegt. In dem Haus wohnen noch viele andere Parteien, die z.T. etwas irritiert reagieren, wenn Feriengäste (also für sie Fremde) umherlaufen. Ein wenig vermisst haben wir konkrete Informationen in der Wohnung, zum Schloss, Müllentsorgung, Umgang mit den anderen Mitbewohner o.ä.
