There was no room service for breakfast and were forced to have breakfast in dining room for $26 each. And this breakfast was in no way worth the money. Bar was limited in drink mixes. Spa falsely advertised manicures and pedicures yet there were no such services

From our arrival to departure we had a wonderful time. Bryan our porter welcomed us and assisted us to the front desk, where we were checked in by Gracious Grace, super friendly lady. The room was lovely, well set up with comfy linens good balcony with a great ocean view. The restaurants were all good but C-Spice with Head Chef Dino internationally acclaimed and great staff out shone them all. Staff were friendly and charming. The bar next to the lobby overseen by JJ and assisted by Nick and Jeanu were always helpful and served great afternoon tea. The staff at Papamiento cafe were super friendly and make the greatest coffee Pool boys were no exception they were always there with a smile and a fresh towel. We both came away happy and well rested. Thanks to our porters Bryan and Nash. We will be back.

AMAZING!

Location: great location close to downtown and local hangouts
There are no words to describe what an amazing and beautiful island Curacao is. The Curacao Marriott was breathtaking...the view from the lobby overlooking the beach and the beach is something everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. The staff could not be any more friendly than they were. Every morning greeted with smiles and they continued on throughout the day. The cleanliness of the pool and beach and the rooms as well was great! I do recommend renting a car while visiting Curacao are you can explore the different beaches and visit the downtown area freely without having to wait for a cab. I do recommend bringing water shoes as the beaches in Curacao are rocky. Definitely try the island favorites and local foods, such as Batidos, Pastechis and Iguana...I know it sounds a little crazy but the Iguana soup was to die for! Visit any of the restaurants at the Rif Fort, along with the local favorites of Terrace Plaza in Punda (Pastechi) and Plasa Bieu for some Iguana, Dutch Pumpkin Pancakes and the most delicious fish! It was a wonderful experience and would recommend it over and over again I will definitely be visiting again and renting a Car from Just Drive Curacao...Both brother Edgar and Roberto were a pleasure to deal with. I'm already missing the island life and cant wait to go back! Masha Danki for a wonderful time Curacao Marriott!

Great Beach

I went to Curacao with my son to attend the Jazz festival, and ended up changing to the Mariott at the last minute, since it was on the beach.  A real good move.  We had a beautiful room facing the ocean (all the rooms have balconies), and were able to spend most of our days on the beautiful beach swimming, snorkeling, and drinking mojitos.  There is drink and food service on the beach and at the pool.   The Mariott is only 10 minutes from downtown, so it was an easy trip in the evenings to go out and eat.  Meals at the Mariott are very expensive ($17 US for a burger and fries). I had previously seen reviews about the lack of wi-fi.  That is not currently the case. Once we received the wi-fi password from the front desk, we were able to use wi-fi anywhere in the hotel and around the pool One thing I would say is that given the low car rental prices in Curacao, it probably makes more sense to rent a car if you plan more to do any sightseeing or make more than one trip a day.  All in all, a great place to stay.

The food at the hotel is excellent!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
The first room we were assigned to was on the first floor close to the beach. It smelled moldy and was loud due to the foot traffic outside. The next morning we asked to be moved to another room and the front desk was very accommodating and moved us to a higher floor that seemed to have been recently refreshened. It didn't have the moldy smell and was quiet, which made our stay very relaxing. The food at the Emerald Lounge and Portofino were exceptional and the portions were quite generous. Free Wifi is available at the lobby so it was nice in the morning to check out my emails with a cup of coffee (from Voila Deli located right in the lobby) in hand and the breezes coming in from the ocean. I highly recommend this hotel.

Beginning with winning smiles at the front desk

Pros: Quiet, staff
When we arrived we were exhausted and requested the "quietest" room. They did this with no hassle and our room was so quiet we loved it. This hotel is beautiful from the lobby to the rooms to the pool and ocean! If you like music and dancing they have it on certain nights in the lobby outside the bar. If you love 24 hour use of a beautiful pool you have it here. The beach is so beautiful with plenty of seating. The best thing was "no" loud water sports! It is just you, the sand, and the water to float in and enjoy the blue sky and water at your leisure. The service from everyone in the hotel was "top notch". Would I recommend this hotel...absolutely!

Beautiful and very relaxing

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, lovely staff
The Marriott Emerald Resort is a fantastic place to stay. The hotel is beautiful with a lobby that opens up to a beautiful pool and a step away from the most clean beach to relax and enjoy on a daily basis. The employees are very accomadating and will help you with all of your questions. We at breakfast buffets and even enjoyed room service. This was one of the most relaxing vacations I have ever had and staying in a high class hotel made the stay that much more enjoyable. I would recommend the Marriott to any and all who are thinking of making Curacao a vacation destination.

VeryNice Hotel, Very Friendly Staff

Pros: Quiet, friendly staff, very clean
Cons: No free Internet, food quality
The hotel was great. Many times hotels look much better in photos than in real-life but that was not the case here. The staff was extremely friendly & almost every single one of them greeted us anytime we walked by. The beach was nice & had plenty of chairs for us anytime we wanted to lay on the beach. The only negative about this hotel was the food. The food was very expensive for the quality. I know hotel food is always expensive but the quality could have been much better.

Learning to relax

Pros: Close restaurants, friendly staff, well maintained resort, fairly good entertainment at night, beautiful gardens, you leave the resort with a smile on your face
Cons: No free Internet, uncomfortable pool chairs, beware of coral off the beach, not safe to go into town at night, many local people have access to the pools
When we arrived at the resort, the staff took instant control of my luggage and welcomed me with a nice cold Mojito drink. After I checked in, the manager of the Marriott resort escorted me to my room. I was really full of anticipation of escaping and learning to relax. The staff were there at every step of the trip to welcome me with open arms which were willing to meet my every whim. From my taxi ride to the airport, to the Double Chocolate Moose dessert I ordered two nights in a row, the staff were very pleasing. I understood the fact that meals were not to be cheap, which was reimbursed by the excellent quality. All foods have to be imported, not to mention the fact that you are paying for the sweet ambiance of the resort. You can even rely on drinking the water that comes out of the room faucets. I liked the fact that the pool water was fresh water and not salt water from the sea. Just beware the lounge chairs near the pool are very uncomfortable. They are made of wire, which with my boney butt, requires much cushioning. It took me a whole week to learn to relax, and the Marriott Beach Resort Emerald Casino was and excellent choice for such an experience.
