I have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts throughout the Caribbean, across different countries and budgets, from very affordable to luxurious. Without any doubt, this has been the worst of them all, even compared to basic resorts. The infrastructure is clearly neglected, with no major renovations in years, only superficial fixes that do not hide the deterioration. The resort feels old and uninviting. The food is the biggest disappointment: the buffet offers almost the same food every day with no real variety, themed restaurants are very few with extremely limited menus, and items often run out without being replenished. There are long periods with nothing to eat, and after 10:00 p.m. food is practically unavailable. Desserts are particularly bad, essentially the same cake in different colors. There is no online reservation system; you must sign up in person and sometimes wait up to two hours just to eat something very limited. Much of the restaurant staff is unfriendly, while the entertainment staff is excellent and truly committed. The beach looks nice but the sand is mostly rock. The island is excellent for snorkeling thanks to its crystal-clear turquoise water, but truly paradisiacal beaches are elsewhere. The lagoon-style beach is pleasant but artificial, ending at a wall and surrounded by old infrastructure. I chose this hotel due to the limited all-inclusive options on the island and will definitely not return.
