Welcome to The Port House!

This cozy pet and child friendly home, in the heart of Wilmington is the perfect space for couples, families, and solo travelers alike. Spend time lounging in the sand or enjoying Wilmington’s best restaurants, shops, and attractions. The Port House is centrally located, with a short walk to EUE/Screen GEMS Studios, 5-minute drive to the airport and downtown, and 14-minute drive to Wrightsville Beach.

THE SPACE:

My fully updated home features an amazing beach feel, for family, friends, kids and Fur Babies!!! Each room is meticulously cleaned and made to let my guests feel like they are in the most relaxing environment. The back yard is fully fenced in to keep your kids and pets safe and secure.

The Master on suite, features a king size bed with a walk in closet, and a bathroom with an exceptional walk-in shower to refresh you. There is also an Air Mattress in the closet with linen, if needed.

The 2nd guest room, a queen size bed, equipped with clean and pleasant bedding. The closet comes fully stocked with a beach bag, beach chairs, and basic daily essentials. Under the bed you'll find more kid toys in the drawers too.

The spacious living room, featuring a Roku TV, bathed in natural light that highlights every contemporary detail. The modern interior decor is comfortable and ideal for relaxing. The sofa is user-friendly and very comfortable.

There is a special section dedicated to your family fun and pets. I provide board games, leashes, animal toys, poop bags, bowls and treats! Pet beds are provided, please use them.

A workspace with an office in the living room with Wi-Fi connection, allowing you to perform your tasks in an inspiring calm.

The open kitchen, offering all amenities, and enjoying a simple but elegant design, along with a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere. There is also a mini cocktail station in the corner with a menu of how to create your favorite drinks. (alcohol not included)

The patio allows those relaxing vibes. Enjoy a nice fire, play some yard games or even grill up a ribeye steak. The possibilities are endless.

The side of the house features a nice foot washing station, to clean off that sand after a day at the beach

Finally the driveway can hold up to three cars, NO street parking please.

ACCESS:
Guest have access to the entire home, minus the attic and the shed, which are used for storage. You will find two cabinets that are locked, those are for my manager so please don't tamper with them.

OTHER NOTES:

PETS: So when booking the number of guests, please check the (traveling with pets) box. If you have more than 2 pets, please message me directly. I ask that your pets please stay off the furniture, and use provided dog beds or crate if needed.

COFFEE: I supply a Keurig, k-kups and Mr. Coffee, but please bring your "desired" creamer and coffee grounds.

GRILL/FIRE: The fire pit and charcoal grill are on its own. So please purchase firewood and charcoal from the local Home Depot or Lowes if you wish to use the fire pit and/or charcoal grill.

LONG TERM RENTALS: We do offer long term rental pricing. So if you are interested in Seasonal or Yearly rental agreements, please message me directly for pricing details.

Fantastic Wilmington home

Matt’s home was absolutely perfect! It was just right with all the amenities we could want. Close to everything including the airport, downtown and breweries in the area. We would highly recommend to those traveling to Wilmington. So many positive comments. Matt was a great host who communicated so well to make our stay a delight.

Family Time

If there were a way to give this property and host 10 stars, I would. From the beginning, communication with the host was awesome!! Every amenity that could be thought of has been provided to made a vacation stress free for a family traveling with children and pets. Due to the toddler and pup, we really appreciated the fenced in yard. I can definitely say that this will NOT be our last visit to Port House. My only word of caution (and this is nothing the host can control) is that the front area street is extremely busy in the mornings and a bit of a challenge to access.

Great home away from home

The property was exactly as advertised. We loved all the dog friendly touches and the fenced in backyard. It was very comfortable and we appreciated all the little touches like a first aid kit and coffee pods. The owner goes above and beyond. It was also a great location. Highly recommend.

Amazing place!!

This is one of the best vrbo rentals Ive ever been to. Super clean and updated. Every essential you could need in my opinion. Plenty of soaps and shampoos. Plenty of nice towels. Plenty of great kitchen essentials. Keurig and pods provided. Great location to all the attractions. We even took out bikes and im glad we did because the sidewalk around the neighborhood was great for riding. The back patio is amazing but unfortunately due to inevitable NC mosquitoes we couldn’t really use it.

Great home!

We had a wonderful time in Wilmington and this house was perfect for our group. The fully fenced in yard and provided dog supplies were amazing and the house was decorated so beachy and cute. Great communication with the owner and property manager. Would highly recommend!

Wilmington Weekend

The inside of this property was great - enough space for a family of four and a dog. The owner thought of lots of little details - a full Brita in the fridge and some fresh apples and lots of pet necessities. While the inside was great, we didn't love the location or the neighborhood - it's on a busy street and near train tracks. The owner was very responsive and very cooperative.

A great home for a stay in Wilmington

Matt's place was a delight! It is well situated to Wilmington's historic downtown and to the beaches, and the photos don't do full justice to the size of the home. We loved the backyard and would happily stay again.

Great mini vacay

We enjoyed our stay. Host was more than accommodating providing all of our pet needs including a crate. The house is immaculate. Beds sleep well and my husband is super picky because of his back issues. Not too far from downtown and about 20-30 minutes from the beaches. The back patio space is not as inviting but since it rained on and off, it wasn’t a priority to sit outside.
