Great stay!

We loved staying at the White House Inn! Staff were so helpful and friendly, and we were impressed by the breakfast. The location is idyllic and the balance of historic details and modern comforts is just right. We were nervous about noise from other rooms (we could hear our neighbor on the phone as if she was standing right next to us) but didn't have an issue sleeping. Can't wait to visit again!

Everything was great EXCEPT for an intermittent buzzing sound in the air conditioners. I assume this is a general problem throughout the building. It was true for our two rooms and we heard other people talking about it at breakfast.

The room we stayed in was comfortable and had a great view from the balcony. The bed was very comfortable. I would have liked more space in the bathroom to put a cup and other things. Also, an exhaust fan would be nice in the bathroom. But it was pretty. The staff were all very gracious. We had a good meal Sunday night in the restaurant and our waiter was very nice. I knew that the restaurant would not be open on Monday and Tuesday, but it would have been nice to have the bar open for drinks on the patio in the evening on those nights.

This is a beautiful inn. But my husband experienced no cold water during his shower! During breakfast, we had no napkins, and no server could be found. And to make matters worse, we heard loud footsteps from the room above us ( for 2 hours in the evening and an hour in the morning).
