Welcome to the Latimer Upper! This freshly renovated cottage still holds the charm + character of its historic past while offering all of the modern style + comforts desired in a 5 star stay. Located along a residential street you are mere steps to both the soundside (spectacular sunsets) and the ocean when sun and sand are calling. Enjoy 2 on-site parking spaces. Location cant be beat! Flipflops are all that’s needed to access the local hotspots. Walk to iconic Trolly Stop, Tower 7, shops
 This beautiful property features a king bed, queen bed, and twin bed, ensuring a terrific night's sleep for all guests.

Fully renovated in 2024, expect a fresh, light filled space with brand new furnishings and interior touches along with an intentionally preserved, beach cottage vibe. This top floor, 3 bedroom cottage still boasts her wide plank shiplap ceilings, original hardwood floors and spacious, covered front porch
while also offering completely renovated and modernized living areas. The kitchen and bath are fully updated for everyone’s comfort and convenience. Not to be missed is the newly installed, whole house Kinetico water filtration system! No beach water here. We offer healthy, filtered dinking and bathing water along with non-toxic cleaning practices and organic, custom scented reed diffusers (crafted by us!) for healthy, all-natural indoor environments for all of our guests.

What we love most about The Latimer is the premiere location with peek-a- boo views of Banks Channel Sound and an easy 2 minute walk to the Ocean. Don’t miss a single sunset from the covered front porch. Plan to relax and enjoy the breeze on the swing after a sun-filled beach day in the sand with your beverage of choice
.sip your morning coffee, basking in the early sunshine on the private side porch.

When it’s time to head out and explore the island you are in the premiere spot! Walk to all of the local favorites. Trolly Stop hotdogs are not to be missed along with a margarita and fish taco from Tower7. Circles ice cream makes a summer night sweeter. Local surf shops, boutiques, nightlife and the island’s long standing, Robert’s Grocery store are within an easy walk from the cottage. If you desire to rent bikes, they can be delivered to your door ready to pedal your way along our 3 mile island from inlet to inlet.

Location was perfect. Close to shops, restaurants, bars, and the beach. Cute little cottage. We could have used a second bathroom with our group, but everything was as described so I can’t complain. Would highly recommend as a great place to stay.

Wonderful Gem’

We truly enjoyed our stay at this charming bungalow home! The location was perfect
just a short walk to the beach and local shops and eateries! You will not be disappointed. This home has all the modern conveniences to make your vacation delightful. We had a bit of trouble with the keyless entry but Mary was quick to answer our questions and resolve the issue! It was such a bonus that we did not have to bring any beach equipment or supplies as the home had everything we needed to make our trips to the beach relaxing and enjoyable.

My wife, daughter and I had an amazing time at this property! The location is right in the mix. Easy access to the beach and views of the sound. The host was quick to reply for any additional needs we had. Would absolutely recommend this property and the hosts! It was a great stay.

Excellent Location

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect! It was so easy to get to the beach (2 minute stroll) and having coffee shops, a gift shop, and restaurants within a minute of the house was exactly what we wanted, so we didn’t need to use the car often. Being able to grab a smoothie from the walk up coffee shop window and walk back to the beach was so convenient. The outdoor shower at the house was a great way to clean up, keeping sand out of the house. The furnishings are beautiful and all appliances and tvs are up to date. It is a wonderful place to stay!We had 6 people and there were enough beds to accommodate. The twin bed bedroom is very small, but functional and there is only one bathroom. Having one bathroom wasn’t a problem though, since we had the outdoor shower too and public restrooms are only a 1 minute walk away as a back up.If you want to explore Wrightsville Beach, you will love this location.
You can see boats in the bay from the swing and beautiful sunsets.
There is a public path to the water right across the street.
