Great location and a wonderful ocean view! Furniture in living room needs to be replaced; not very comfortable. Hard on the back. Remote for the tv in main living area needs to be replaced.
Otherwise, everything worked for us.
Concerns for this particular unit were what appeared to be black mold on shower head in master bathroom shower. The ceiling was crumbling in this shower as well. There was a cockroach under the kitchen sink and no cleaning supplies to maintain cleanliness throughout. However awesome location with beach view and nice pool.
We love this end of the island. This property is fine, but many of the items mentioned in other reviews have not been addressed. I emailed the property manager on Thursday, June 25 and let Intracoastal Rental know of the items that have been repeatedly reported and added a few new items to the list. Some of them are safety issues. ***I ASKED THAT THESE ITEMS BE ADDRESSED AFTER OUR STAY.
The screen door to the balcony is still broken despite multiple requests.
The lint trap in the dryer flies out during a dry cycle. It's clear the trap hasn't been cleaned in a long time. I asked the manager to do this before the next tenants arrive.
The kitchen faucet is rusting out around the base and is loose.
The fan/light in the master bathroom smells like it's burning when on. There are other lights, but it would be nice to run the fan during a shower.
The antique stove in the kitchen. While it technically works, the oven needs to be calibrated. I'm surprised anyone under the age of 50 (I'm 50) even knows how to work this stove and oven. It 's difficult to tell if it's off. Considering most tenants will be cooking in due to Covid, it would be nice to have an updated stove and oven.
If anything is plugged into the outlet near the stove, it trips the circuit. Be careful not to lose your food in the fridge.
You can't have really bad internet AND really bad electronics/cable/remotes. It's unrealistic to think that in 2020 people don't work during their vacations. You will lose tenants if they can't do work or school, and if it rains, you need to be able to stream. It reminded me of the first days of dial up.
Now, let't talk about the good stuff.
1. The unit was SOOOOO clean. When I asked for freshly laundered mattress pads, spreads, etc., they happily complied and called to let me know they would be there waiting for us.
2. There is nothing wrong with the water. It smells like beach water, and while we didn't cook with it or drink it, it didn't make us smell like sulfur.
3. Management was very quick to respond to my requests.
I would stay here again, but I'm not sure my husband and the rest of my family would want to. Then again, I still like paper books.
