This 1895 Victorian has been fully restored offering turn of the century charm and is fully equipped with all modern amenities. Our home offers 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with an open living room, dining room and modern kitchen. The large wrap around porch provides the perfect spot for relaxing with your morning coffee or after a day at the beach. Centrally located between both Short Sands and Long Sands beaches, our location offers a safe and quiet street and easy access to all local attractions. Stroll to the Nubble Lighthouse for a picnic or to stargaze. Enjoy all the sights that York has to offer: quaint shops, restaurants, salt water taffy, and York's Wild Animal Kingdom and Amusement Park.

Amazing Property, Location and Hosts!

Our extended stay at the Blue Hydrangea lived up to all of the positive reviews and yet it still exceeded our expectations! The house felt like a home - well-appointed, comfortable, cozy and equipped with everything you could possibly need, including great beach chairs, an umbrella and a beach cart! The location was perfect - a quiet street with an 8-10 min. walk to either Long Sands or Short Sands beach. The Jacksons were wonderful hosts - friendly and responsive. The Blue Hydrangea and the Jacksons have set a high bar for other VRBO properties! Thanks for a great vacation!

Blue Hydrangea

It was hard to leave this beautiful cottage! We loved being able to walk to the beaches, to the shops and to the Nubble Light from this fabulous location. We also took advantage of doing the puzzles and playing corn hole at the house. The owners are great and very accommodating. We highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful Maine Get-away!

We loved this cottage nestled on a quiet side street near Nubble Light House. It was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities you could want. The large wraparound porch was the perfect location for your morning coffee and we took advantage of its close vicinity to Short Sands by taking several long walks. It was the perfect family vacation at the beach!

The Hosts have thought of everything!

The house actually looked better in person then in the listing— and the listing was attractive! The home was well stocked, it had everything six people would need to spend the day at the beach, and then some. The hosts were amazing. Their communication was timely. Living next door, they were friendly, yet gave us space. We have tried several options over the years for our annual YB vacation and believe we have found “the one”. We will definitely be repeat guests at the Blue Hydrangea!!

Beautiful stay

We had a wonderful stay in this home. Jen was a gracious host and was nearby if we needed anything. We spent a few days on short sands, which was easily walkable with two small kids. Drove to long sands (had to download an app for parking, and get there early if you plan to spend the day). The only thing I wish this house had available is laundry, but we knew about it in advance and packed accordingly. The street is quiet and private, and the neighbors were all very friendly. We hope to come back someday!

This is our 3rd time staying at this property with our family! First off, the house is pristine- the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in. This is an older home with lots of character but updated amenities. The owners live next door and are very communicative and helpful. The house is 5+ minute walk to Short Sands and town with the most beautiful walk. We are always sad to leave!

A Relaxing Stay in a Cozy Home!

This home is beautiful! There was plenty of room, and everything we could need in the kitchen. Reading on the shaded porch or sunning in the backyard- all relaxing! The house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, but right in the middle of everything! Long Sands to the right, Short Sands to the left, and the Nubble Light at the top! Had a relaxing time!

Memorable Family Vacation

This was the first time visiting Maine and the surrounding area for most of the family and we had a blast. The house is exactly as is depicted in the description and is perfect for exploring the surrounding area. It is an easy walk to the Nubble Lighthouse and to Short Sands Beach, which we did almost daily. There are shop’s, restaurants and ice cream within walking distance. The area is great for checking out nearby villages, towns and cities like Portland, Portsmouth NH, York, Kittery, Ogunquit and Kennebunkport. There are also great places nearby to enjoy nature and bird watching. The owners are friendly and attentive. They are easy to talk to and along with the friendly neighbors, you’ll feel right at home when staying at this property. We couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves anymore if we had tried.

Perfect Mainecation

Jennifer is a wonderful host. The home was in the perfect location and was exactly as advertised. In fact, I think the home is actually better than the pictures. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a Maine getaway
