Surprised by the comfort and best views.

This is such a nice and comfortable place to stay. Very clean. Great ocean views. Its all been recently updated. Easy check in and pleasant staff. The best part is the balcony. Comfortable chairs perfect to view sunrise over the ocean. The bed is made up very nicely with at least 4 pillows. Having a Keurig and a fridge is a nice touch too.

Great location. Clean. Ocean view. But the price is way too high. It could be definitely reduced. They want to make as much as profit in summer, so they hike up the price very unreasonably.

The room has a gorgeous view, it is very clean and up-to-date, the staff is friendly and accommodating. I would stay here again, very peaceful. Note I came after Labor Day so a little off-season..

This place was absolutely spectacular! The atmosphere, cleanliness, and overall experience were top-notch. My only minor complaint is the bathroom setup—there’s no counter or shelf space for toiletries, just a pedestal sink and a toilet. A small shelf or table would make a big difference in convenience. Still, we loved our stay and would definitely come back!

Beautiful view of york beach. The chairs on the balcony are very uncomfortable. The bathroom is very outdated. Tub faucets coming out of the wall, soap dish tarnished. Water temp a bit difficult to control. No room in bathroom for anything. No bathroom fan. For what they charge per night, i expected better. Very clean though. Bed comfortable. Front desk nice and responsive and helpful.

Recently renovated with a modern feel. Beds are comfortable but a little soft for my liking. It is an older building so the floors are not level, with that said they beds should be leveled. Overall, this is a great hotel and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Views from our balcony were beautiful.

It was a bit further down the beach than we normally stay so had to drive everywhere but didn’t mind. Staff was lovely and very accommodating when we made a late room request. Rooms were clean but need better window coverage and darkening shades for slider and window above ac unit. Shower temp was fickle so had to be careful but it was manageable. Would definitely stay again.

We spent 2 nights at The Grandview this weekend. The room was very clean as well as the bathroom. Nice sized mini fridge too. My favorite was the balcony looking over the beach. The location is directly across from the beach but the "rocky" end. However, you can walk down the sidewalk for a minute or 2 and take the stairs right down to the sand. The only thing about the room I would change is a closet or clothing rack. There is something small on the wall but it doesn't hold a lot. We just hung all out clothes on the shower rod in the bathroom so it wasn't a big deal. My husband and son went in the pool and said it was really nice. They even had towels. All in all a great stay!

The incredible view. This is one of the closest hotels to the ocean. The unobstructed close view is amazing. We arrived early, but our check in was delayed til 3:40.

A view without comfort

The view is what you're paying for here. Sitting on the balcony is great. You can even lay in bed and see Nubble light, but unless you love a bed that feels like sleeping on a beanbag you won't enjoy that view for long. It is a clean hotel with new wallpaper, but the bathroom is wornout and the water temp is unreliable. If you are young you may not mind the old steep narrow stairs to get to your room, but it was tiresome to carry up all the things you want for a beach stay and then to have to go down and up again and again...phew. Also, don't try to check in early they are serious about the 3pm check in time. All in all not a bad stay, but there are better more comfortable ocean view rooms in York at that price so I won't stay there again. I won

Staff was very pleasant. Easy check-in and checkout and housekeeping staff were great about asking if we needed anything. Steps away from the gorgeous long sands beach--great view from our room. We opted for a first floor room as our grandkids were staying nearby and could easily pop in for visits. Although our room was at the street level, the room was very quiet.
