It felt clean and the staff was ok. They are not used to working at a hotel or a bnb, but they did their best. My main critizism would be the location. I don't know if it is a mistake by Expedia or the hotel, but it is nowhere near where it is indicated on the map. Its way out in the jungle.

A piece of paradise in Sun Moon Lake

We booked a 3-night stay at Residence 8 to do things we had not experienced in our previous trips to Sun Moon Lake, including a stay at a quieter location, away from the crowd and noise. Residence 8 more than met our needs and expectations. We left early on day-2 for mountain hiking, earlier than the scheduled breakfast time, and the host packed us a lunch sack! We loved our stay and highly recommend this property!

Lovely hideaway

The location was amazing and tranquil. It is located away from all the craziness yet just minutes from the main lake front area. The property is beautiful and surrounded by nature. The owners were lovely and more than accommodating. They provided drives to/from the lake and a delicious and filling breakfast. AMAZING value for the price.
