This was the second time that I have stayed at a Crowne Plaza. The first in New Orleans & the second in Zurich. The best thing I can say is affordability; the hotel is great for accommodation needs on a budget. Once again though, leadership needs to invest in upgrading the rooms. The carpet, drapes & walls all need to be upgraded. Worn out & flimsy, as I mentioned for my stay in New Orleans, presentation needs to go beyond front desk/reception. Additionally regarding staff, conversation was short & dismissive. Upon check in, i discussed with reception that I did not enroll in the breakfast plan upon booking because expedia would not let me adjust to only 1 person. This was a solo tri so I was not going to pay for 2 when I was by myself. I asked reception if i could purchase the package then to which he said yes, with the amount of $347. When I went down for breakfast the following morning, they said the meal package was not purchased so I would need to pay daily for the days I wanted breakfast at the hotel. I ordered room service one time & ordered a curry fish, the women was so quick to get me off the phone that she charged the meal to my room when I specifically stated I wanted to pay via my debit card. Then while in my room which was already a cramped space, was ready to start an argument with me before i simply just stated it was fine because I wanted her out of my room. Take your time & be clear with your guests. Would not recommend for booking for wherever they are.

Friendly staff. Location was good. Only a 20 minute walk into Zurich Centre. There was also 2 tram stops nearby. The room had everything we needed. The shower was a bit rubbish and flooded easily.
