We were fortunate to have a disabled room so there was plenty of room with great views. On our first day we left to visit Yas Marina F1 Circuit early in the morning and returned after 4pm and our room was still not done. We had to ask twice to have them come to do it. However, when Joyce did come, she was a delightful young woman and a great ambassador for the hotel. That was the only day we had the problem and the room was always spotlessly cleaned.

For two days our room did not have hot water. We requested on four different occasions and were told it was repaired but it was meet fixed . Finally a manager car to our room and also confirmed that no repairs were done and the water was still cold . We were offered to move rooms on the last night at 11pm which was not very convenient and declined the offer I was told the morning manager would help us out. When I went to the reception desk no manager was available. I waited for one hr then had to catch my cab to leave for Dubai. I was told a a manger would call me that afternoon but no one did. The next day I called the hotel and spoke to a manager who offered me to come back to the hotel and stay in a suit which was not well received as I had leafy Abu Dhabi and was in Dubai at another hotel. I was then informed that he would need to speak to a higher level manager and call me back on Monday It’s now 2pm on Monday and no one had called The hotel is nice but the service level are poor and management is not customer focused.

From the very beginning my stay at this hotel was way under any international standards. Service was poor in some many areas that it surely reflects on the managing skills of whoever is running the place. The room, though with a great view, had a terribly old given-away mattress, lighting was poor and flickering, tv never worked, closet lights never went off (even when I reported them), and on and on. Terrible standars for a hotel of the Sofitel chain. I recommend staying elsewhere

This property was so disappointing. Showers were mouldy. Water was cold in the showers. The food quality was so disappointing in the breakfast. The lounge is not even worth paying for, only open a few hours a day, children only allowed two hours. Limited amount of food available. Definitely not a Sofitel 5* experience. Would not recommend booking

Overall a nice hotel but customer service was actually quite poor. Valet was great. Check in person cold and a bad first impression. Hotel staff on phones in foyer whilst I was waiting to check out in a queue. Should be better for the price
