Comfort+Cleanliness and Location

Absolutely spotless!!!! Very comfortable bed and couch. Quiet (unless you count the birds chirping). Free city bus stops out front (both directions). Fabulous restaurants and cafes within a five minute walk. Cheerful and helpfull staff. Small downside - no chest of drawers. What didn't hang--up stayed in suitcase.

Bit disappointing

In a great location this slightly tired property offers a quirky layout that would confuse most guests. Unfortunately they don’t have a 24 hour reception so late arrivals need to check in at a sister property in Tyne St. To do this you’ll need a car as the distance between the check in location and the Lion aren’t walking distance especially at night. Stayed in a downstairs room. Lots of footstep noise from room above made for a disturbed sleep. Look elsewhere close by as there are better options.

Never disappointed when I stay here. All facilities are great, room upgrade was a surprise and much appreciated. Staff were very helpful when I had a special request. Will stay here again.
