This was an ideal location for our annual friends and family wine weekend to visit nearby wineries and breweries. It had comfortable couches and beds, plus a dining room table that we could all fit around. The kitchen was one of the best stocked we've every had including 2 coffee makers. We enjoyed the fire pit too.

Cozy Cabin with plenty of space

Great cabin about an hour north of Lynchburg, VA. We had a great time and had easy access to parks, stores, and a lot of fun. Great weekend getaway.

I can’t tell you how accommodating this Cabin was. I traveled with a group of 6 women, between the ages of 45-50 to Celebrate a 50th Birthday! The home was perfect!

Nice house

The house was nice and perfect for our group of three families with small children. Ideally, there would have been some basics in the house like oil and coffee filters. The garbage situation is a bit tricky as you have to take stuff to the dump yourself. Not a huge deal as the dump is on the way to wintergreen. But the dump is closed on Monday, which can present a problem if your check out is on Monday.

Great base camp for adventures in Virginia

Our family had a wonderful holiday week in Afton, VA. We went skiing at Wintergreen Resort, explored the Grand Cave, drove into Shenandoah National Park and visited Monticello. We enjoyed the comfortable house with its comfy beds and well-appointed kitchen. We enjoyed family meals at the large dinner table and made memories sitting around the large fire pit in the fenced back yard.

The cabin was easy to find, very clean and welcoming. Well supplied kitchen and comfy beds. We were a party of nine and never felt cramped. Close to local attractions. Very quiet.

Beautiful!

The cabin was absolutely amazing! I seriously can’t be more pleased with the house! It was clean, the beds were comfy, the outdoor fire pit area was awesome, and there is so much room! Everyone in our group kept commenting on how this was such a great find! Very happy with our stay!

Great Place for Nelson 151 and Hiking

The cabin was very comfortable and well stocked for our group of 8. The outdoor area was great for a campfire. The location was awesome - we did hiking, swimming in a lake, wine/distiller/brewery tours. The owners went above and beyond with great information and communication. Would definitely stay again.

Great house and location!

This was a great house! It was clean ,beds were comfy, couches were comfy. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck even though it was very warm outside. Nice big soft bath towels. The fridge was spacious. The kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of room in the pantry. So close the wineries and breweries. Our favorites were Hazy mountain and Blue mountain to eat lunch. Ryan was so responsive and accommodating. We would love to stay again next time:)

Amazing home

My group of friends met for a reunion and we all loved this home. It's a perfect location to access all the great area attractions. The space was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Check in and out was easy and Ryan was communicative the entire time.

Great location along the brewery and wine trail. We had a group of 12 and there was plenty of room for all us. Ryan kept the lines of communication open throughout our stay and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this house.

Great cabin that is secluded but yet in close proximity to excellent wineries, breweries, and hiking trails. Property is very well maintained and has a lot of nice touches that the owners have done with a real sense of pride. We would definitely stay here again.

Hidden, spacious gem on the mountainside

This is a comfortable, spacious cabin close to hiking, wine/beer tasting, Charlottesville and many other activities. It is located on a wooded, peaceful mountainside Our host was incredibly responsive and accommodating. We highly recommend this home.

Wonderful cabin with easy access to Charlottesville

We loved this beautiful cabin! Spacious, beautifully decorated, quiet, clean, perfect for our UVA framily reunion. The property was so pretty with a lovely stream and nice side yard for yard games and firepit. The kitchen was well equipped, the common space was very comfortable for 13, and everyone loved the air hockey table. The deck was so nice with the bistro lights. The owners were very communicative, providing lots of helpful information and responding quickly to inquiries. The surrounding area had lots to do with great breweries and wineries (loved Hazy Mountain). It was great to have easy access to Charlottesville as well (we went to a football g game). We definitely recommend this home and hope to return!

Spacious Cabin for a Girls Weekend

6 women stayed at this cabin for a girls weekend for my friend’s bachelorette party. The cabin is easy to find, up a beautiful road lined with a stream and gorgeous fall foliage. The cabin itself was a great layout for a large group. 4 bedrooms divided over 4 floors. The main floor has a small living space, large dual sink bathroom, and 2 bedrooms (1 queen and bunk beds). The second floor had the primary suite, an additional bathroom, family room and kitchen with enormous vaulted ceilings. There is also an air hockey table and two decks. The third floor has a room with 2 queen beds. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and the family room was perfect to watch movies without being squished. A couple notes I missed before staying there: - the single queen room has no windows, fine for us but if the acts an issue for you keep it in mind - there is no trash service, you have to take all trash with you to the dump AND separate out your recycling into the various dumpsters (paper, plastic, etc) - there are no chairs for the fire pit, so bring your own - there wasn’t any pepper and the salt was a thick rock salt in the kitchen. I recommend bringing your own seasoning - no shampoo and hand soap was only in 1 bathroom. There was a note in the welcome book to use the facial towelettes for removing makeup but there were not any, we brought our own so I’d suggest that. Overall, perfect stay! The trash thing wasn’t ideal but that’s what happens when you stay on a mountain!

Great house! Great location!

This house was perfect for a girls’ weekend getaway. The location is ideal for exploring wineries and breweries in the area. The house had great amenities and features to make your stay comfortable. Very clean.
