Conrad Tulum is an amazing property. It's extremely beautiful, it is well manged, and it is secure. Wonderful resort with great staff and not overcrowded. The morning Buffett is delicious with varied choices of Mexican and American foods, if not so adventurous. The staff is friendly and have that warm welcoming Mexican ‘bienvenido a nuestra casa’ attitude. The beach is quiet and very private. The Conrad has great beautifully landscaped walking paths. If you’re lucky you might see the local wildlife. Never a problem with the AC or WiFi. If you need tv viewing there’s plenty of options. I recommend the outdoor beach eating palapas, especially ‘El Chiringuito’. I recommend hiring a tour guide/driver like Juan Santos to take you to the local archeological sights. You need nerves of steel if you want to drive against the local drivers. They have their own road rules. My family and I went to celebrate our birthdays in late Jan-Feb. I don’t want to stay in hot uncomfortable rooms or have mosquitos bothering me. The rooms are spacious and lovely. Don’t overpay for cabs. The concierge will help you arrange rides into Tulúm. The property is sublime with nothing lacking. Only minus for us is dinner portions are small and pricey. I can’t wait till my next visit.

The architecture was amazing. The restaurants and food offerings were good (reservations were hard to come by when they were empty). Beautiful pools and beachfront. Staff was cordial and polite. Prices for items on menus vs. charges varied, issues with the toilet and sink in the room required fixing. It seemed like a new property trying to get their bearings. But for the location, food and atmosphere, I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Superb hotel

We had an amazing stay at the Conrad. Well designed modern hotel. White sands and crystal clear waters. Good selection of pools. Varied dining options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Both the Japanese and Mexican restaurants were superb. A 15% service charge is included on all food and drink although generally this is included in the stated price. Service was outstanding. We also did a bike tour round the resort, the spa and neighbouring Hilton resort which is worth doing to get a feel for the property. We had a fantastic time and would definitely consider coming back in future.
