Repeat visit to Pelicans Albany

From check-in to departure our stay at Pelicans could not be faulted. The room was clean, spacious, well appointed and comfortable. The property is quiet and we had very good sleep. The location near Middleton Beach is excellent. When you stay at Pelicans, do yourself a favour and walk over to Three Anchors for breakfast.

Great coastal apartment

We had just an overnight stay but the apartment is very clean and spacious. I’ve stayed before, it’s just about the best value in Albany in my opinion.

Was quiet. Cute easter egg gift on Easter Sunday at our door. Tv channels were poor especially when not a lot was open over the easter long weekend. The rooms were decent. No nee towel or cleaning done during the stay.

We stayed 6 nights & our only complaint was that we couldn’t extend our stay several more nights because they were fully booked - which wasn’t surprising! Pelicans was great - staff couldn’t have been more accommodating & friendly. Kitchen well equipped. Great to have washer, clothes line & dryer. DVDs were fun to borrow. Easy walk to the beach & several very good eating options. Enjoyed several extended walks in the area for beautiful views & wildlife. Highly recommend- bed was VERY comfortable too.

Not the greatest of weekend experiences.

Have stayed there before and it was always a good, value for money experience but we were unfortunate enough to be accommodated in an apartment with a dreadful bed that had long lost it's use-by date. The sag was quite pronounced, the springs were obviously broken and sprang out on the sides when sat on. The units were booked out so a change was not going to be possible and I managed to sleep by sleeping on the edge of the two beds used to make it the king size. The manager did say that a new bed had been ordered, they were awaiting delivery, and she certainly tried to help with offers of extra padding, etc, but it needed a firm, flat support which just wasn't available on site. I felt that, as this was a known issue, the apartment should not have been used until the bed had been replaced. I hope this review will speed things up and thje next occupant will have a better stay.
