Amazing home for a family vacation!
Posted Jan. 11, 2024 on HomeAwayGreat home for a nice relaxing family vacation! The pond/skating rink in the backyard is gorgeous, and being in such proximity to the lake makes it even better. The highlight surely was the table tennis in the basement - lots of fun with the whole family.
Dan and Lesli were great hosts! Extremely responsive and flexible to accommodate our requests.
We'll be coming back for sure!

Fantastic family get-away

Bright, Sunny and Lovely
Posted Nov. 13, 2023 on HomeAwayThis is the second year in a row our family has rented this cottage for a long weekend with another family. In total we have 9 people, 5 teens and four adults. There is lots of room for everyone to spread out and do their own things, as well as large enough spaces for us to come together for meals and games.
In particular we appreciate that the cottage is stocked with all the necessities...enough dishes for a large group, all the kitchen gadgets we needed, towels for everyone. We also appreciate that there is lots of storage for the food and items we bring along with us.
The huge front room is a lovely place to hang out with loads of light and room for everyone, and the open concept means that if you are on dish duty or cooking you can still be part of the action.
The owners were helpful and easy to communicate with. We will be booking soon for next year!

Cabin

Family time at Buffalo Lake
Posted Aug. 30, 2023 on HomeAwayOur extended family of 13 (including seniors, adults, teenagers and kids) had a great time at Skipping Stone Lodge. The house was very well equipped for cooking for large groups and had many extras - lots of lawn chairs, outside bean bag game, life jackets, board games, etc. We enjoyed many games of ping pong, fishing on the lake, board games, campfires, meals together and just being able to be in one place together. We would all highly recommend this place to anyone. Thanks so much Dan and Lesli. You are great hosts!

Loving lake life!
Posted Jul. 27, 2023 on HomeAwayWe couldn't have asked for a better holiday. The beach is only 5 minutes away, and although the lake is warm and shallow, the water was surprisingly clear. Between the yard, the beach, and the ping pong table, our kids were thoroughly entertained. The adults really enjoyed evenings on the large deck overlooking the pond. The only minor issue we had was that the tap water was quite yellow when we first arrived, but the owner alerted us to the problem before we got there, and it resolved on our second day there. Overall, it was a great stay, and we would not hesitate to book here again!

Amazing cottage
