Check-in is carried out directly at the accommodation from 3:30 pm, but please note that check-in between 7 pm and midnight incurs an extra cost of €30.

Great Unit Not Great Rental Agency

Pros: clean, spacious, lovely unit. Pictures are accurate. Cons: Host was unreachable. Messaged four times and finally found a number to the rental agency and learned they had sent a random message to my What’sApp account in French. Said they wouldn’t be meeting us at the unit for check in, which was the original requirement on their part. It took an hour and half in the Algarve sun to finally get in the unit after figuring out the key and lock debacle. The assistant at Homing Algarve was quite dismissive of our situation. The elevator was broken and the apartment is on the second floor. The GPS didn’t have the exact location and the pictures provided for check in were not super clear. Again, the apartment itself was lovely and had what we needed. If the owner of the apartment had a different rental company it would have been and easy 5 stars.

Not in Albufeira, but close to a great beach

This space is big and clean and as described. But, it’s NOT in Albufeira, it’s 10km away. There are no amenities provided in the kitchen (salt, coffee, olive oil, etc.) so if you want to cook you need to start at the very beginning. In the bedroom beside the dining room, the air conditioning unit makes a very loud noise every 20 to 30 minutes, which made sleep impossible without earplugs. We accidentally left a bag inside the space, which we realized a few minutes after we left at 10:30. The host was not very accommodating. She made us return to the city (we had already gone somewhere else) at 18:00 and left us in the parking lot for over an hour without telling us that the cleaners were there (despite multiple messages letting her know that we were there) - this wasted an afternoon and evening and could have been avoided had she just allowed the superintendent to let us in for one minute.
