Dont stayt here is you want to eat

We booked for the last day of our trip. We specifically booked here so we could relax and get room service. The room service buttons on the phone do not work. Called Guest services who transferred me and i sat on dead air for 20 minutes. Had to go down to the lounge to get dinner and that took longer then it should have. someone took the phone off the hook so they could schmooze with celebs that were there from Comic con. Next morning, called guest services to order breakfast. Was transferred, phone rang and went to hotel main menu. Called back and was told that they did transfer me to the lounge and transferred me again. Same menu. Called a third time and asked for someone to go over there and see if someone will answer phone, was rudely told that maybe they arent doing room and all they can do is transfer me and they can hear the phone ringing at the lounge. This was at 9am and site said breakfast 6am to 10am. we packed up and left so we could get breakfast. Hotel staff doesnt really want to work and is clearly doing minimal. Also, bathroom magnifying mirror had a light ring on it that didnt work. Little things being overlooked will lead to bigger issues. Wont stay here again.

All good except the “free breakfast”. The restaurant is not part of the hotel so you need vouchers at the lobby. They say kids eat free but the restaurant doesn’t honor that. They need to communicate better

It was perfectly located for our conference with ample parking. Dining options were good and the hotel was quiet and safe. I recommend this hotel for downtown conferences.

While the DoubleTree staff are friendly, the property is a bit run down and the area around it, downtown is mystifyingly empty. There are a few restaurants open but you have to step over the homeless to get to the door. We ventured to the 505 Food Hall. The selection of 6 different counters was nice but over all there was hardly anyone there at 7pm on a Saturday night.
