First Impression wan not a good one. When I checked in the desk clerk wasn't very friendly, almost curt. The room was very comfortable and clean. it was very quiet, which is what you want and need at an hotel while on the road traveling. You never get a 2nd chance to make a first impression.

We stayed 3 days over the Ballon Firsta week. Rates were outrageous considering the condition of the property. The rooms and facilities were just ok. Our room furniture was scratched from use. Gym didn’t have sanitize wipes; ventilation was very poor; no towels and bathroom had garbage on the sink counter. WiFi was spotty. I had to go to the Radisson next door to get a document printed due to WIFI & printer being down at El Querque. A front desk check in person (who happen to be in the breakfast area) saw that the hot water I was pouring ran out mid cup and immediately asked dining room waitress to refill it. Which I was very grateful for. (She read the disappointed look on my face.) Waitress filled it quickly and had excellent customer service skills. However, I tripped on an open seam with lifted carpet with the hot tea in my hand on the 2nd floor when returning to my room. I didn’t fall but almost did. A small amount of hot water spilled on me. If it had been someone unsteady on their feet, they could have been seriously hurt. The rooms and property need to be remodeled. This hotel is own by Radisson and I hope they will do this. The continental breakfast had very limited choices.

We have been staying at this hotel for over 5 years now - even before it was the Querque. It is very convenient & we can just walk across the way to the Crown Plaza where they have a nice little Cantina with a good menu & great service.

Hotel staff was nice but the interior of the room showed a lot of wear and tear: scuffs, a chair with torn exterior, things like that. I felt very uncomfortable interms of safety at this location but there was a security car that patrolled the parking lot from time to time- an indicator that there had been problems in the past. Check in was fine for me but on a holiday it would help others waiting if there was more than one check in clerk. The room had a noise of air compression that whined like a ghost all night long.
