Excellent Hotel

I have travelled most of the globe for business and personal reasons. In all my years of travelling, this is the most honest and respected hotel I have come across. I booked 2 rooms, in an unforeseen circumstance, I was unable to use the second room even thou I paid for it and was non-refundable. Despite this, the hotel understood my personal reasons and fully refunded me £1200. What other hotel would do this without incurring a penalty. The staff are so nice and respectful. I wish this hotel and the staff all the success. Gob Bless you all. Thank you.

A Little Piece of paradise

We were greeted at reception by Leonardo, who was exceptional and really took care of us. Melani was also of great assistance during our stay. We however found that some of the pool and breakfast staff members lacked experience. We stayed in a premium room with golf/sea views. The room was luxurious and the views from the small balcony were simply wonderful The super king sized bed was so comfy. Water and tea/coffee were replenished on a twice daily basis Breakfast at the Kamal restaurant overlooking the outdoor pool with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean was just wonderful The selection of food was fresh, varied and of a very high standard. A choice of eggs was also available to order. Breakfast was available from 7-10.30 which was great The choice & standard of food at the pool bar was good. There were plenty of sun beds available at the pool area and a good supply of towels. Parts of the pool decking were unsafe. The pool was great though a little chilly . Definitely not for the faint hearted. The hotel lobby, bar and restaurant have all been renovated and are beautiful but there are parts of the hotel that need updating. There was no entertainment in the hotel bar and There’s also no gym. The hotels location is fantastic being next to the Praca and a stones throw from the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay The little extras could move this hotel up to the next level

The first room option was very dated and we had to change rooms. It was ok but also very dated for the price. The reception staff were not very helpful initially but the manager stepped in to offer an alternative solution. Check in wasn’t ready at 3pm as stated either. The newer areas are more modern and I’m surprised that the whole hotel hasn’t been renovated. Bfast was good and the hotel bar is nice but lacks any ambience. The hotel is in a good area but some of the local bars/restaurants are a little obnoxious with bouncers being very aggressive.

Well located hotel but a bit tired

The hotel was well located near the beach . However it could help with some redecoration as it was starting to look tired . It was not so easy to get around with its long corridors and change in steps in you are not mobile. Service mediocre & not of high standard .
