House with private/fenced pool on the Tuscany-Umbria border. 16km from Orvieto

The property lies on the Tuscany-Umbria border at 2.8 km from the village of Allerona, 16 km northern from the well known town of Orvieto and 36km from the lake of Bolsena. It's a hilly and quiet location. From the garden you can enjoy the beautiful panorama on the countryside and the village of Allerona. The house has a private garden with a 8 by 4 meter pool (depth 1,5 meter), all private use of the tenant. Pool is fully fenced (useful for families with young chidlren). On the back of the house there is parking place for 3 cars (2 covered parking places). The pool area can be completely fenced upon request. The passageway between pool and porch is normally open, for families with young children this can be closed. The garden/pool area is equipped with beach and garden chairs and sun umbrellas. There is also some shadow under the trees that surround the house. In front of the house there is a big porch with table and chairs for 13 persons.There is also a barbecue available to cook (and enjoy the panorama). The house can accommodate up to 13 persons + baby (cot and high chair available on demand). The house has a double bedroom on the ground floor, the other three are on the 1st floor and all have double bed (two rooms have also a single bed). The 5th bedroom is in the dependance and has a double bed and a single bed, this bedroom has also an en-suite bathroom with toilet and shower. The two other bathrooms are in the main house, one with toilet & shower on the ground floor and one with toilet and bathtub on the first. The windows are equipped with mosquito nets.

In the village of Allerona (2.8 km from the house) are two grocery stores, a bar, two restaurants. In Allerona Scalo there are other bars, supermarket, tobacco shop, bakery, post office and some other shops. Big supermarket (also open on Sunday) close to the highway exit of Orvieto. The nearest retsuarant (named Povecchio) is at 1,6km from the house, there is another restaurant at 2,5 km in the village of Allerona (La Panatella).

It is an ideal starting point not only to visit Umbria, southern Tuscany (Siena, Arezzo, Montepulciano), Rome and northern Lazio. From the property you are, by car, in about 20 minutes in the center of the city of Orvieto or on the highway Rome-Florence. The train station of Allerona-Castel Viscardo is 10 km away, the journey time for Florence is of two hours. If you want to go to Rome we suggest to take a train from the station of Orvieto (1h15 to arrive in the center of the city).
