Dark Sky Cabin on 10 Acres Near Death Valley

The cabin features one downstairs bedroom with a queen bed and a spacious loft upstairs with a king size bed. There is a screened in porch plus a large deck with plenty of outdoor seating. You'll have the comforts of home with wifi, cold A/C, a full kitchen, games, books, and more. EASY checkout - no chores!

The space
This authentic, all wood cabin is sure to please both explorers and astronomers alike. The main living area has comfortable seating for 4 people and a flat screen TV. An island/bar separates the kitchen from the main living area. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the tools needed to prepare a delicious meal. The cabin has a full size fridge/freezer, gas range/oven, drip coffee maker, as well as a Keurig. The coffee center is stocked with various coffee flavors, plus decaf and tea options.

The cozy downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, small closet and dresser drawers for storage. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious and features a walk in shower with two shower heads. Upstairs, the loft has a comfy king size bed, flat screen tv, and it's own A/C unit

The front of the cabin faces the Funeral Mountains to the west for amazing views both night and day. There is a screened in porch with an overhead fan that makes for a great place to unwind after a long day exploring. Even more outdoor space can be had on large deck on the north side of the cabin.

The 10 acre property has many trees(mostly Tamarisk) and you are free to explore. We border public land on two sides and you can literally walk to the Funeral Mountains right from the cabin. The closest peaks are about 3.5 miles away.

Nearby attractions include Death Valley National Park, Big Dune Sand Dunes(just 6 miles away), Ash Meadow Wildlife Preserve, The Amargosa Opera House, Rhyolite Ghost town, Tecopa Hot Springs, and China Date Ranch.

Places to eat nearby are the Stateline Saloon, El Valle Mexican restaurant and Longstreet Casino.

For last minute supplies or groceries, Martell Market is just a few miles away and has all of your basics covered.

Guest access
You'll have full access to the home, 10 acre property. and hundreds of acres of adjacent public land. This property was a peach orchard in the early 2000's. An old well tower and rusty water tank serve as reminders of what it once was. We love the area and are always making improvements to the property. Please explore carefully and have fun!

Easy paved road access suits any vehicle.

Other things to note
This unit does have stairs so it may not be suitable for small children. The loft stairs are fairly steep.

This is one of two units on the property. Neighbors are few and far between, but please be considerate to them. Many people have dogs that roam free here so don't be surprised if you get a visit from curious neighborhood pups.

This is the desert so it can be pretty dusty at times. Bring sunscreen and drink lots of water in summer. Closed toed shoes are recommended for exploring.

If going to Death Valley we recommend filling your gas tank before you get there, the Alien gas station is much cheaper than you will find in the park. Bring lots of water.
