Wonderful family spot in Anchor Point

Captain Cook Lodge is an amazing place to stay! Beautiful building, immaculately decorated and maintained. We were really comfortable with our 3 generations (grandparents, mom and dad, and two littles). Communication with the Johns was great, and we saw moose the last night there!

No hot water in taps, no heating in home, we stayed there for one night… arrived at 10PM checked out at 11AM… did not use the kitchen much, still they charged us 61USD for cleaning.

Has a lot of potential, setting is really nice.

We really enjoyed our stay in our cabin. I can see how it would be a good choice for people. The owner is most helpful, the place is clean and is well equipped. For me I would want to be a bit closer to town next time, there were x4 single beds and no double and whilst the lazy boy couch is a cool feature my wife does like to cozy up on an evening. All I am saying here is there may be other cabins with a different set up that may suit your needs better. Otherwise a great cabin and we enjoyed our stay.

This is a beautiful property! We enjoyed our stay. The beds are comfortable and the two bathrooms are spacious and clean. My friends like to cook and they specially appreciated the stocked kitchen.

BEST CABIN EVER!

We were delighted to find that the Moose cabin at Bear Paw actually looked better than the online photos! From the long covered walkway entrance, to the deck out back and spacious interior, this cabin was made to order. I would not change ONE thing about it!

A great place to stay in the Homer area

This is a gem of a place. We stayed at the Moose cabin the night before and the night after a day of deep sea fishing out of Homer. Bear Paw Adventure Cabins are easy to find and are within 2 minutes of a local grocery store and within 20 minutes of Homer. The rooms are clean and the cabin was spacious enough to give our family of 4 plenty of room. We used the kitchen to prepare a fresh halibut fillet -- there's nothing better than fresh caught fish after a day of being out on the water! (Recommend taking Dramamine which is available at the Homer Safeway for motion sickness as the waves of the Pacific can be rougher than the Atlantic!)

I would come to stay here again

Best lodge we stayed in during the entire trip! Definitely a two thumb up! It also has the best collection of spice--we had our best home cooked meal for the entire trip too in this lodge.

Beautiful solid home away from home

This was a perfect place for my husband, myself, and 2 children to run around and cook fabulous halibut and eat it on the porch. We went on an amazing bear flight and we were too tired to drive anywhere. John, the owner, was so kind to add us one more day after we had checked out. It was already cleaned and ready for someone new. John paid us a visit the morning before we left and he is a really nice and down to earth guy. The place is beautiful and homer has great restaurants and bear watching! I am sure there is much more that we did not discover! Thank you!

Bear Paw Works Especially for a large Group.

This is not a hotel in the ordinary sense of hotel This is a two story single family house fully equipped with kitchen, one and one-half baths, washer/dryer, dishwasher, full size stove, dishwasher and complete furniture package. We were expecting much less. Great base of operations to visit Homer area. Anchor Point is about ten miles short of Homer. No sign or maids, room service or any of that. We were a group of four adults and 4 kids. Everyone loved it. The gas grill on the deck helped with our dinners.
