Wonderful apartment in downtown Anchorage. We appreciated the proximity to restaurants (49th State Brewing and Whiskey and Ramen were great!) and the free parking. The space and rooms were comfortable and it was nice having en suite bathrooms for each. The only suggestions I would have would be that the kitchen needs a few more amenities. We traveled with our 9 year old so appreciate having a kitchen for cooking some meals instead of a hotel room and having to eat out all the time. Kitchen towels/pot holders (I had to use a washcloth to take something out of the oven) and mixing bowls (with lids to double as storage) would have helped make the kitchen a little more useable. There were salt and pepper shakers but they were empty. Otherwise it was a great stay and we would definitely stay again. We appreciated the coffee in the room as well!
This is my first experience renting an apartment instead of the hotel so I was a bit unsure of what to expect. But Salted Roots in Anchorage exceeded all my expectations. Building is nice and clean, parking is right outside. I booked 2 bedroom apt and it was very convenient with a living room and kitchen at the center and bedrooms on opposite sides. I couldnât hear the other person from my room.
Kitchen is great with everything you might need to cook something excluding food of course.
Oh, and a coffee. They have coffee machine and a very good coffee! Which is very important if u ask me. Although building has a coffee shop downstairs I was just drinking the one they had in the kitchen. And Im very picky when it comes to coffee so theirs is really good. Trust me.
Beds are very comfy. Bathroom is ok. A bit tiny though and I didnât like that the clothing cabinet is located in the bathroom. But since thereâs no way to fit it into the room itâs understandable.
The main point is: if Iâll go to Alaska next time Iâll definitely consider Salted Roots apts as a place of stay. Especially since they are usually less expensive than hotels.
PS. The only thing I missed and wished I could have is ironing board and iron. I know Alaska is a very laid back place but I was there on a business trip, needed shirts, ties etc and I couldnât iron one.
So please add it to the room!
Otherwise everything was perfect! Thank you Salted Roots!
