located at the exit of the village, it is a large building of more than 500 m2 completely renovated for 3 years. It was a new "coup de coeur" that made us choose this property but it took a lot of imagination to visualize it finished before the start of work: it had been abandoned for more than 7 years and nature was inexorably resuming its rights ( gutters in the roof, perforated floors, crumbling walls, very invasive trees and ivies ... little by little, the project took shape.
The original construction dates from the 18th century. The exterior style and architecture have been deliberately preserved.
The interior design has been completely redesigned and created with the desire to enhance it and bring it to life with a private part and a reception area for guests.
It has therefore been divided into two terraced houses: one reserved for owners, the other is intended for guests with a surface of 175m2 (or 200m2 with the 6th bedroom option)
The access of each is completely independent in order to preserve tranquility and privacy.
The building is located on a 1ha 2 property with a cleared, cleaned pond where water hens, egrets, herons, frogs, carp and goldfish frolic.
the park landscaped by us with ornamental trees and fruit trees is fenced on 8500m2; it is extended by a wooded plot of 3500m2 which is not enclosed which allows you to go for a walk in the neighboring vineyards and meadows.
The creation of a 12m x 5m secure swimming pool completed this "little paradise".
The objective is to fully enjoy the calm, nature and the pleasures of swimming while respecting the neighborhood.
Classified 4 **** furnished with tourism in 2019, The "gite du Petit Guilhem" is exposed south and north by these 2 facades; a large parking lot, attached to the cottage, 4-5 spaces inside the property allows the vehicles of the hosts to park safely.

During the renovation, we wanted to keep elements of the history of the house (beams of the frame in the upstairs bedrooms, bread oven in the living room, quarry wall on the south facade of the kitchen .. .)
The upper floor can access via a small landing to another wing and a 5th bedroom of 25m2 with 1 large double bed, shower room and separate wc *****optional extra and demand :6th bedroom.
The sound and thermal insulation, the equipment, the furnishings, the comfort of the living rooms and the bedding of the "Petit Guilhem gite" allow meetings with friends or family whatever the season; with, from the first rays of sun, additional pleasures on the outdoor terraces to enjoy the park; or stroll around the pond, rest under a hazel or an oak ...
Its geographical position with the proximity of the Citadel of Blaye, the Gironde Estuary, the vineyards of Blayais, Bourgeais, Médoc, the city of Bordeaux, the Arcachon Basin, the medieval village and famous vineyards de St Emilion and de Pomerol increases the interest of our property.
